Chapter 1-

<Shane's POV>

Five. That's how many days out of this week that Lisa had come home drunk.

Late at night she would stumble in the door and I would pretend to be asleep.

I was always scared when she came home because she couldn't control her anger when she was drunk. She would always scream at me and throw vases, picture frames, shoes, or anything else that she could get her hands on at me.

I hated hiding from our problems like this, but how else could i get rid of them?

I thought popped into my head! I could ask Joey! His Mom was an alcoholic, so maybe he can help Lisa. I pushed that thought out of my head. How could I do that to Joey? I would be bringing up a lot of horrible memories from his childhood.

I shook my head. I had to deal with this myself.

Be a man Shane.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next morning I went downstairs and saw Lisa laying on the couch with Corny.

Confront her Shane.

But some things are easier said than done.

I walked up to Lisa and almost kissed her on the lips, but her breath still smelled like alcohol.

I quickly kissed her cheek and sat down next to her.

She smiled at me. "Good morning Shane!" She chirped, despite the fact that she probably had a terrible headache.

I grabbed the remote and turned off the TV.

She glared at me. "I was watching that Shane!" She whined.

I rolled my eyes at her.

"Lisa..." I stopped and took a deep breath. "We need to talk."

Her breath hitched. "Are you breaking up with me?"

My eyes widened."No! No no no." I reassured her. She sighed a sigh of relief.

"Lisa..." I grabbed her hand. "You're an alcoholic."

She looked shocked and pulled her hand away roughly.

"How could you say that?" She demanded obviously getting angry. "I am not an alcoholic, in fact I'm the complete opposite of an alchoholic!"

I rubbed my face. Denial. She was in denial. I should've known she would've acted like this.

I stood up. "Lisa, you need serious help. Help that I can't give you."

Tears started welling up in her eyes. "I don't need help! I don't have a problem!"

I was sick of this. My love for Lisa had been fading ever since she started drinking, and I couldn't date someone who refused to get help for their own problems.

But I atleast had to try and help her.

I grabbed the keys to my truck and left a crying Lisa In the living room.

She stood up before I opened the door.

"Where are you going Shane?"

I turned around and looked into the eyes of the girl I once loved and said;

"To get you the help that you need."

<Joey's POV>

I was vlogging about my day when I heard a knock at the door.
