Chapter 45~ Not Normal but In Sync

Emma's POV 

 I woke up one Friday morning, 82 years old and heard the terrifying news. 

Julia and Jack were gone. They both had heart attacks at the same time in bed last night. they were 81 and 82. 

I couldn't hold it in any longer I bursted into tears. I felt them streaming down my face. My husband, Finn just died 7 months ago and now, one of my best friends and her husband who was also my friend are both gone. 

Their funeral is soon and Ally and I will be leading it. Libby is flying in from California and Noah overdosed about 10 years ago and died.  

I remember when Julia and I were younger, we would always go down to the stream and have a blast. We even saw a snake one time. We didn't care what people thought of us in school and we all just had the best time ever. We had tons of laughed and we had tons of break downs but we always did get back up, together. Julia has helped me get through so much and I will miss her tremendously. 

Ally's POV 

They're gone. 

I remember Jack and I used to be the best of friends and we used to facetime all the time. We would make weird faces and just talk whenever we were bored it was so fun. 

Now Julia, that's a different story. We started to become friends when we were 2 years old and we grew up together. We used to make really stupid songs and always do weird accents and just have a blast together. We made a fort down by the stream behind her house. We had a joke about me and her cat Coal, that we were dating and so many people believed that Coal was actually a person named Cole. It was so funny. I miss her, I really do and hopefully she is up in heaven with a ton of animals because that's what she loved... and skittles, she loved her skittles too. 

Emma's POV 

 We got to her funeral and did all the normal stuff, of course Ally and I cried the whole time. They're having a funeral together because they died at the same time and they're couple goals and stuff. Jaeden already did the speech for Jack and now it was time for our speech. I go first and Ally finishes it off. This is our last time to honor Julia and give her a proper goodbye. 

I started off "Julia was truly an amazing person. She always wanted to see the good in people and loved to see others succeed. She was very nice and had a great amount of spunk to her. She was always smiling and laughing." 

Ally came in "Julia and Jack were the perfect couple and although they didn't see it right away I always knew they would be perfect for each other. Now we all know that they both passed away from heart attacks in the same night, in the same bed. Well let me tell you a quote that Jack once said to me about Julia. He said 'I've always wanted to be normal, in a normal house, with a normal family, with a normal life. But I'm not normal and the only time I feel normal is when I'm around Julia. It's like our hearts move in sync because we think the same thing and I can tell we feel the same thing too.' Now Jack did not live a normal life like he had planned and neither did Julia but not because they were different in a bad way but because they had a special connection with each other that I have never seen before. And just like Jack said, their hearts really were in sync."
