___________________________It was weird to be around Amalia. I managed to learn more about her in a few weeks than I had years ago. And despite that, I still didn't know her completely.
Whenever I felt upset or something from my terrible past just popped back into my mind, I would text her.
She didn't judge, she didn't cut me off, she just listened and tried to understand. I appreciated that. I felt free to be able to talk about a lot of things with her, and I knew that I could trust her. She wouldn't blab to anyone, not even her friends.
When I told her about me and all the girls I've been with, I realized why I did all of that, and I told her. She just listened, she didn't make snide remarks or rude comments.
For once, it was nice to get the perspective of another girl, rather than Noah, who was a lot like me in some ways.
Today I was headed to the football game. We were playing against our rival school, but I wasn't paying attention to that. I wasn't completely sure why I was going, I guess I was bored and the guys were all going.
When I got there, they were seated towards the front. I took a seat by Noah at the edge.
We were just screwing around when these two girls stop by me as they were about to ascend up the bleachers.
"Hey there," one of them giggles.
I smirk at this.
'Maybe this game won't be so boring.'
"Can we help you ladies," I give them knowing look.
"Well, we were wondering if we could join you guys for the game," the blonde purrs.
"Sorry, no room," Jacob cuts in.
I freeze and whip my head his direction so fast.
"What do you mean? You have a whole empty row in front of you," the blonde's friend pouts.
"Yeah Jacob, why can't they sit there?" I snarl.
"Because the girls are almost here and we saved that row for them," he deadpans.
'The girls?'
Shit! Amalia! She's coming?!
Do I look good? Do I smell? I should have taken a shower before coming here!
"Yeah, sorry about that. I think there might be some other guys interested though, you'll find them eventually," Noah snorts at the girls.
They reluctantly leave when they realize that this was going nowhere.
"Amalia is coming?"
"Yeah, they were having a girls night and decided to come," Jacob shrugs.
As if on cue, we hear a familiar voice singing loudly.
"A B C D E F G. Gummy bears are chasing me! One is red! One is blue! One is chewing up my shoe! Now I'm running for my life! Cuz the red one has a knife!" Amalia sings as she skips while the girls giggle behind her as they followed.
"Amalia!" Jacob gets her attention.
She freezes and looks to us. Then a big smile makes it's way to her beautiful face and she goes to take a seat on the row in front of us.
"Why were you singing that?" Jacob laughs, the rest of the guys do too but I could tell that Leo was freaked out.
"I don't know," she shrugs and looks to the field.
