FACETIME CALL.
"Hey baby." He says sadly to me with a frown on his face. "I miss you so much."
"I miss you, too, Jonah, more than words can ever describe. When are you coming home?" I say hoping to God that he says soon. Please, please, please say soon.
"I wish I could say soon, but..."
Of course.
"Tickets are selling faster than we expected. We are going to add a few more stops to the tour." He says with a slight smile on his face, "C'mon baby, you know I miss you."
"Yeah, I know." I say trying to convince myself I'll see him soon. "I guess I just miss the feeling of you being here... with me."
He blushes, "You don't know how much I miss the feeling of your lips against mine, baby. I love you." He says so kind.
"Ayyyyyy Jonah!!!" All the guys shouted from the background.
Oh brother.
"You stayed here just to talk to your girl?! Man, we played an epic game of foos ball!!" Corbyn shouted.
"Aw, nice to know you missed me Corb!!" I say as I role my eyes.
"Hey! Nothing against you, Em, but c'mon! Foos ball beats a girl any day!!" He says with a huge smile. "You know I love you!" He says with a cheesy grin.
I laugh and role my eyes, then nod my head in acknowledgment. Corbyn and I are best friends. We are the closest out of me and the guys. From day 1 of meeting them, they were all nice, but he was always so kind. We bonded immediately.
Jonah nudges Corbyn, "Alright man, can we have peace and quiet again?" He says pleading with his best friend.
And just on cue all the other guys came flooding back in the room with snacks. "Hey Emily!!!" They all shouted to me. "Hey guys! You having fun on that little bus?" I say messing with them. "I bet you miss those king size beds of yours."
"Little? Man, this thing is huge, Em! You really need to come see it!" Zach says. Zach is the youngest of the band members; he is like a little brother to me.
"Yeah, Zachy, maybe I should come see it!"
"Why not?" Jack says curious, "Why not come visit. Stay on the bus with us for a week, or even a month?!" He says. Jack is always getting way ahead of himself, but it's so funny.
"Yeah, you can work on some songs with us. Be a special guest on some of the shows!" Daniel yells from the back.
I giggle at their excitement. I look at Jonah and through my eyes, he can tell that I want his opinion.
"Of course! I'd love to see you, baby." He has a huge smile on his face.
"How do you guys suppose I get to where you'll be?" I say with a nervous laugh.
"There is such thing as an airplane." Zach says as if the idea is obvious and simple.
I look at Corbyn, who is on the left of Jonah. Corbyn is a smart thinker and always thinks these things through. I look to him for advice.
"I mean, Em, you have a passport, we have the money. We can fly you into our next show." He says calmly. "It seems like a good enough idea."
I smile, "Where are you now?" I say a little bit concerned.
"The road. We'll be in Melbourne in two days. What do you say, Em? Meet us there?" Jonah says begging me through his eyes.
I give a slight sigh and smile. "Melbourne, here I come."
And all of the boys start cheering and yelling and laughing and before we all hang up, Jonah looks at me and says, "I love you, baby. Melbourne isn't gonna know what hits it."
And then the screen goes black and I slowly fall asleep into the deep abyss I call my dreams.
