"J, come on. You literally passed out from a lightning strike. We aren't doing this now." I tell him with a convincing smile. "E..." He says as he walks up to me and plays with the hemline of my top. We stare at each other for awhile and he finally looks away and says, "Fine... but I can't promise I won't try again tomorrow." He says with a smirk as he pulls me in to a tight hug. "And I cant promise I'll have a different answer!" I giggle, "But try as hard as you'd like." He roles his eyes and goes into the bathroom to turn the water on. Before he closes the door he pops his head out and shouts, "It isn't too late!!" And I just laugh. He scoffs and closes the door. About 10 minutes later he gets out and I hop in. I take a long hot shower and my eyes start to fill with tears. I start to think to myself. This was supposed to be such a fun time. No drama. Away from school and with my best friends. The only thing good about this trip has been being proposed to by my dream man, and now I'm having doubts about that too. And of course I won't tell J that, but still. The only person I want to tell is... ugh Corb, of course. I mean, we finally aren't arguing- which I guess is good...
And then I hear a knock on the door. "Babe?" I hear Jonah ask. "Yes, Love?" I respond back. "After you get out I want to take you somewhere..." "I thought we were gonna stay in?" I say as I turn the faucet off and open the curtains. "Well, yeah but the boys and I just want to take you somewhere. It'll be fun, trust me." He says trying to convince me. "Alright." I give in to their plans.
About 20 minutes after, we are ready to leave and head out. The guys are standing at the end of the hallway smiling. "What is this?" I ask as J and I walk down to the guys. He doesn't respond, he only smiles.
"Hey guys! I already dialed a taxi; it should be here right about now." Jack tells us. We all head down the elevators and walk outside. It's still pouring. After about 3 minutes the cab arrives and they cover my ears when they tell the man where to take us. I giggle. A good 30 minutes goes by before we get to their secret location. "A yacht?!" I ask confused. "Oh, not just a yacht..." Zach starts, "It's a private ride along the coast." I honestly don't know what to think. Like, wow, I'm a lucky girl and all but I kind of just want to go to bed. "Wowwww" I say convincingly that I'm excited. "Shut up, it'll be fun." Corbyn tells me. He knows me well enough to see how I don't know what to feel. We get on and violin music is playing and the table is already set. This yacht is pretty big but still comfy at the same time. We are seated on the second floor and the table up there is half booth, half chairs. Daniel, Jonah and I take the booth that's curved like a half circle and the other boys take the seats. I will hand it to them, it is pretty extraordinary. We chit chat over how beautiful everything is and before the dinner even comes I start drifting off into sleep. My head rests on J's shoulder and I hear soft giggles. At some point I fall asleep.
The Guys' POV
"Dude, she's had such a rough day." Jonah tells the rest of the boys. "What even happened?" Jack asks. "I feel like so much has been going on between the three of you lately..." He adds nodding in Corbyn and Jonah's directions. "It's whatever." Corbyn tells them.
"Hey, I know I've had a drained day, so I KNOW Emily has too." Jonah admits. "She's just one girl. She doesn't belong in this life, she doesn't want to be famous... I don't know. I just don't want to drag her with me and her regret it someday." Jonah is finally telling the truth about how he feels. And it feels good to him. The boys all scoff at him. "Man, c'mon you know she won't regret it. That girl loves you more than anything... you can tell by the way she looks at you." Daniel tells him. "Yeah..." Zach agrees with Danny. "Wherever you are, Jonah, is where Emily belongs. And she knows it. That's why she is willing to stay even when everyone is making her feel like she's causing hell for all of us." He continues. Corbyn finally speaks up again. "Emily can see the big picture. Even when none of us can..." He pauses. "That's why we can't let her leave."
All of the boys nod in agreement to his statement. "Look..." J starts... "When E and I go to Santa Monica tomorrow morning... I'm giving her the option to stay. I mean, c'mon she has school. Her whole life is back in the states, not in this stupid tour. What the hell am I even doing with me life? I'm so selfish to have even agreed to her coming here..." Jonah carries on with his train of thought inside his head. He shakes his head and laughs at himself. I'm such an idiot. He thinks.
"DUDE! We just went over this. YOU ARE HER WORLD BRO. You are! We don't know why you can't see it when it's right in front of you. Look at her..." Jack yells. They all look down at Emily. Jonah smiles. They all do. "If I could have Gabbie here, I would man. You're lucky. Understand that and don't take it for granted." Jack continues. "Yeah, how is Gabbie anyways?" Daniel asks him. And the conversation drifts off. They talk about their life, some things about their next tour, they laugh, and they have fun. This was the first time in awhile that the boys just got to spend time with each other. Just the five of them, hanging out. It felt good. Yet each and every one of them would trade that time for time with Emily. She is their family now.
