I wanted to draw a butterfly, so that's what I did. I feel like it ended up being almost surrealism, but that's kind of what I was aiming for? I was stupid and did the background as one whole, so the base color was a light pink that I had to change to orange by adding a layer and going around each. And every. INDIVIDUAL petal. It was painful.
I also didn't feel like adding any light, but it's fine since it adds to the effect of 2-dimensionality. But I really like how the hair turned out! Yes, it's a bit misshapen and asymmetrical, but that's just part of the fun.
BTW, this just about made me blind with staring at the computer screen+the insanely saturated colors.
