Sunlight flickered through the window. The birds were chirping, and the sounds of a summer morning filled the room.

Nyx opened his eyes.

I am in a dream he thought.

Once upon a time Nyx could dream of a great many things, great wondrous creative dreams in which he could easily walk freely. none could hinder him here, and before the change, this is where he spent quite a bit of free time. But that had been years ago. nowadays, he hardly slept restfully, let alone dream.

Clearly whatever magic Princess Celestia had done to him had put him in VERY deep sleep.

Nyx got out of bed and went to the window. he was in one of the many houses he had lived in as a child.

Nyx walked outside to feel the summer breeze.

from what Nyx perceived, this was a beautiful day. though this was an empty field. there was no place for a shadow like him to crawl into.

without warning clouds started to appear, and rain began to fall immediately after. the sun disappeared and a blood red moon took its place.

Nyx continued walking.

the rain fell heavily and the clouds burst as lightning flashed while thunder answered.

when Nyx could no longer see the small house, he looked up the faithful sky. he sat in the soaked grass and absentee pulled at the grass stocks, wondering when his dream would end.

he didn't like it. it reminded him of his past. and his past was NEVER to be remembered. like shutting book after its been read, placing it on the shelf, and never being opened again, Nyx had absolutely refused to look back.

Nyx looked back to the sky. The moon had suddenly split the chaotic clouds. The moons surface was cratered differently than he had know before- no. He mustn't go there.

The moon glowed brightly against the storm.

Suddenly one of the craters started to grow. Larger and larger until the dot started to form into a lone figure against the reflection of the sun.

Nyx jumped to his feet when he realized who it was.

Dark-blue, or in this case, as Princess Celestia had mentioned, Princess Luna.

Nyx started to walk away, not wishing to take any part of what the dream Princess Luna wanted with him. But he stopped cold when the Princess called out to him.

"Nyx! Stop!"

Nyx turned his head, bot believing what he had heard. Never before had his lucid dreams been so... Well lucid.

The Princess landed a few measurable feet away from Nyx.

"Your not real, only part of my imagination. Your going to disappear right now." Nyx commanded, favoring his old trick to get rid of nightmares.

Luna looked at him.

"I am Princess Luna, not Dark-Blue as you seem to have become in favor of calling me."

Nyx narrowed his eyes in confusion. How did she..?

I can do a great many things while I'm in dreams, whether they're mine, or others, I am the queen of dreams.

Nyx's mouth opened. Reading my thoughts? But- wait, she can hear those, and tho- damn it Dark-Bl-shit I did it aga-Erugh this is annoying!

Indeed it can be quiet upsetting to those not in practice of shielding their minds. Luna's voice echoed in Nyx's head.
