Waking up, once again, was hard. Why is it always so hard?

Lazily I made my way to the kitchen where Connor and Hank sat talking about who knows what.

"Oh good, she's up, now I can give you guys the news." He stated, standing up, offering his chair to me. Puzzled, I sat down where Hank used to sit moments before, making it slightly warm. "So while you two were doing what ever and Markus and North went around, I called up my good ol' friend to see if he would let you guys work for the police, like the good old days, eh Connor?" Hank chuckled, nudging Connor, making him obviously uncomfortable.

"That's amazing, Hank." I said, breaking the awkward silence.

"Yeah. Unfortunately though, you guys do have to wait until Monday to start the job. Until then, Connor can just help you understand what the job is about, I have to go out and shop. I'll be out for probably the whole day, so don't destroy anything." Hank said, walking away, towards the door, leaving me and Connor in the room together.

"I could call North and see what she's doing and see if she wants to come over?" I asked, trying to break the silence once more, turning towards the phone.

"No." Connor stood up, taking me by surprise.

Connor isn't the type to be uptight.

"I-I mean, don't you think that they have already had enough of us?" He laughs nervously.

Nor stutter..

"I guess you're right." I laughed with him. "So, what do you want to do then?" I asked, sitting back down, him following and sitting as well.

"We could watch tv, I guess?" He suggested, not sure of himself.

"Yeah, I guess." I got up, making my way to the couch, Connor surely behind me.

While Connor was very much interested in the tv, I was however focused on the window. Specifically the fog and snow that rolled in a few hours ago. Not really interested in the tv, I got up and walked out side to inspect what was happening. During the process, I did seem to get Connors attention, distracting him from the show.

"Y/n what are you doing out here-" He started, but quickly hushed when he saw the weather. In one quick scan, he saw how cold it was. "Y/n your freezing, what are you doing?!" He ran inside and grabbed the closest coat to him and brought it to me, covering me as best as he could.

Shivering, I pull the coat over me more. "How is Hank going to get home now?" I question, worried.

"I, uh," He turned to me to give me a disappointed frown. "I don't know."

Frowning, I look down at my feet, only now seeing that they didn't have shoes on, only socks.

He must have scanned and saw that my stress levels were high from what he said, because the next thing he said was, "But, he is Hank, so he'll manage." I looked up at him once more to see he was giving me a reassuring smile.

Why is he scanning me so much?

Feeling decent with the situation at hand, I head inside with Connor behind me.

The rest of the day was spent staring at the tv, well, it was for Connor. Connor was glued to it, it surprised me.
