{Connor's Point of View}

After Y/n's 'dream', we decided to just take the day off and walk around town to ease her stress, my suggestion.

{Your Point of View}

Walking beside Hank and Connor, I soak in the warm sun.

Even though it's past due, the sun has been showing up more for spring. The good days were when it got to 68° degrees.

The flowers in the city park were now thriving thanks to the sun. The thick tree leaves would sometimes block out the sun, but not often. Walking through the park was peaceful, and well needed. We found the only bench in the park, and sat on it.

It was the same bench that I ranted to Connor on.

I wonder if he remembers?

"Y/n?! Long time no see, eh?" I heard a sly chuckle say to my left. I was sat in the middle of the bench, in between Connor and Hank. The voice was a bit familiar.

"Uhh.." I said, looking at the person I knew all too well. It was a young adult that was the kid of my 'owners', making him kind of like a 'owner' to me as well.

"It's me, Jackson!"

"Yeah, I know." I hissed out. Jackson was about eighteen years old, and usually bossed me around when the parents weren't home.

"Ey, no need to be feisty. Anywho, so now that you're, I guess, free, we could totally-"

"She not interested." Connor cut him off, bluntly.

He wasn't wrong. For one, I wasn't attracted to him, don't think I would ever be. Beside, even if I was, he's eighteen, and I was designed to be, and look, twenty-two, so it would just be wrong.

"How do you know, you plastic prick?" Jackson retorted, moving closer to me.

"I just know." Connor stood up, now standing in front of me, and between me and Jackson. "I'm not letting you take another step towards her."

"Why, are you her boyfriend or something?" Jackson snorted, crossing his arms.

Connors LED lit up yellow for a second, but back to blue, puzzling everyone.

Silence consumed the atmosphere before somebody had to stop it and speak up.

"Yes." Hank stated, crossing his arms. Still puzzled, I rubbed my eyes.

"Is this true, Y/n?" Jackson peeked over Connors shoulder to see my response.

I, of course, was going to point out that it was false, until I realised that he would not leave me alone if he knew I was single, so I went for the obvious answer.

"Yes."

A scoff could be heard before he walked away, out of sight.

Silence once more.

Long silence.

I decided to speak up.

"Thank you, Hank." I said, turning towards him.

"Uh, why?" He questioned, truly confused.

"Because if you didn't say that, then he would likely still be arguing with us." I smiled to Hank, and he smiled back.

"So, we are dating?" Connor chuckled sarcastically, sitting back down.

"Seems that way." I laughed.

"Well, I'm glad my first girlfriend is you!" He winked at me.

Is he.. Flirting?

"Y-Yeah.." I stumbled on the word, as my mind, and heart, raced.

Hank let out a single cough.

"Okay, so what do you guys want to do now?" He asked turning to the both of us.

{Connors Point of View}

"Y-Yeah.."

One single scan told me that her heart rate, and stress levels, increased. Her face was also flushed with blue.

Oh my god, am I killing her?! I was just trying to do what the-

I started to panic until I heard a cough.

"Okay, so what do you guys want to do now?" Hank asked, turning our way.

"I don't care." I stated, frequently looking down at Y/n, who was looking at her feet.

"Okay, I say we go to the bar!" Hank yelled, catching attention from passing people.

"You can, I think I'm going to stay here." Y/n stated, giving Hank a smile, and then looking at the trees.

"Okay, Connor, to the bar!!!"

"Uhm, sorry Hank, but I kind of want to stay here too." I stated, softly. "But you can still go if you want to."

"Mm, yeah, I guess I'll go?" Hank said, confused. Last time he went to the bar alone was before he met Connor.

He got up and left hesitantly, leaving us looking at the leaves and flowers.

"So, who was that?" I questioned, keeping my eyes on the trees.

She huffed, replying with, "He was part of the family I took care of. He was the older brother. Even though I did save him almost every night, he still treated me like rubble on the ground."

"Sometimes I wish I didn't save him when he needed it..

I could see through that lie, like it was glass. Y/n was too pure and sweet to not save anyone, even if they did her wrong.

Or at least I hope she is.

"What put him in danger every night?" I questioned, turning my head towards her for a second, then turning back to the trail that brought us to the bench.

Huh, how ironic. Here we are again, on the same bench, the two of us, while she explains something.

I chuckle to myself.

"Well, first off, he wasn't the only one who needed saving in the family," She paused, thinking. "Come to think of it, they all needed saving." She whispered, scoffing angrily.

I nodded, signalling her to continue the story.

"Each night, the mother and the father went out and got wasted. They would return home and decide to hurt their children. When I was first introduced into the family, this took me by surprise. Both the little girl and teenage boy would have cuts and bruises by the end of the night, mostly from beer bottles, broken and not broken. After about a week, I was done sitting around and watching or hearing. One night, while the parents were out, I hid the kids. When the parents came home and noticed their kids weren't there, they took it out on me. Several times I had to replace a part on me. It was horrible, thinking about it now, but, in the moment, all I thought about was the kids." She sighed.

I chuckled, making her turn to me, questioningly. Eventually, I explained, "You always want what's best for everyone no matter what happens to you, it's kind of your thing." I scratched the back if my neck as I realised how cheesy that came out.

She gave me a soft smile in return.

"I guess so."

Sorry for not posting in long time, I've been in a funk because I'm starting high school soon and I'm stressed so much. Also sorry for the short chapter, writers block lol. When I saw that a lot more people have seen and commented and voted, I was like "okay, I need to do something", so here I am! I'll try to write more, I don't know how long it will take unfortunately..
