The next few days of school went by very slowly. Somdays I would stay with Danny and other days I would be with my friends. I never spoke to Jon.

When Saturday came I found it refreshing and needed. I decide to read some of Danny's book. (I still hadn't started it). It was Ok but not my style, I prefered romance to spies. I looked at my laptop but I wasn't in the mood to write. I hadn't been for a while.

*knock knock*

I sighed, it was 7:00 so my parents were still in bed. I went down the hall to the door just as someone knocked again. Ok... who was this the postman only ever knocks once.

I unlocked the door and opened it to Eric stood in the other side. He was wearing a black T-shirt and some blue jeans. He smiled at me.

"Hey, Flo, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out to day. I have nothing better to do."

"Umm, at this time?"

"Oh, oops it's a bit early." he said looking at his watch. "Do you want to come later?"

"I would have to ask my parents." I said. I don't know why but this boy was like a magnet. If you could get close, you got close. I had only spoken with him a few times but he seemed to know every thing about me.

"Great!" he said, "Are they up? could you ask them now?"

"No, sorry, the're still in bed." I said and a look of saddness and anticipation crossed his face. "but you could stay around if you want." I stepped aside allowing room for him to enter the house. He did so. "I just need to get changed." I said looking down at my baby blue pjs.

"Good idea." he said.

"The kitchen's over there. I will be with you in a second."

That second eventually turned into a minute, then 5 minutes, then 10 minutes. When I eventually came into the kitchen to find Eric it was 7:20. I wore a bright purple dress with sequins at the top. It flowed round me in silky waves down to my knees. I had my red hair tied in a messy bun and set off with a silver alice band.

My usual wardrobe consists of skirts and dresses. I don't like trousers. I mean, I obviously own some but I can't remember wearing them!

I sat with Eric and when my parents came down stairs (my Mum being helped of course) they to joined our conversation. I asked if I could go out. They said yes. So after I ate breakfast we left my house. By now it was 9:15.

"I was thinking we could go over to my place." said Eric.

"Cool." I said. I remembered my conversatoin with Danny on Wednesday.

"Oh, he doesn't like his baby brother hanging with the girl likes."

"Who does he like?"

"Flo of course. Who doesn't like her?"

That's right! I had honestly forgotten Eric likes me! That does explain this whole 'hanging out' thing.

"Eric?" I asked as we drove in his car down some twisty roads. "Do you like me?"

"Of course."

"No, I mean, like me, like me."

"Oh, in that case yes." I had not expected that. I thought he would maybe hint at it or dogde my question, not straight out tell me! "Do you, like me, like me?"

"I don't know." I whispered. "I think so."

"Well in that case let's call this 'hanging out' a date."

"I don't see why not." I said. Because it was true why not call it a date? "Just don't cheat on me with Gem, or anyone else for that matter."

"Oh yeah, I heard about you and Jon, I'm sorry about that."

I just nodded and swallowed the lump in my throat. I still wasn't over Jon. Maybe being with Eric would help.

Eric's house was huge. It was tucked away from the road and it was at least three stories high. It had beautiful brick work on the front and all the windows were massive.

"Wow." I said.

"I don't know why your looking over there." said Eric behind me, "that's my parents house. My house is this way." He said as he stepped into the forest that surrounded the place.

"You have your own house?" I asked.

"Yep, Daniel does too, my parents own almost all the land around here so they got some men to come in and build us houses in the forest. Well cottages really." he said as we walked down a well used track through the forest.

"Is yours bigger than Danny's."

"No, the structure of them is identicle. Only the decor is different." Just then we arrived at a beautiful cottage tucked away behind a rock face. "My house." said Eric and we went inside.

The 'cottage' was like the Tardis. It just kept going. There was a small kitchen with a fridge, a sink, an oven and some cupboards. In the living area there was a comfortable looking leather sofa and a flat screen T.V. There was even a tiny dining room joined to the kitchen and down the corridor there was the biggest bathroom you could ever see. There was a bath, seperate shower, loo and a sink.  There was a door in the bathroom that lead into rows and rows of clothing.

"This is my formal ware." said Eric. "And now to the bedroom." he pointed back the way we had come and opened a door from the hall that a thought was a cupboard but instead there were stairs. I followed carefully after Eric who showed me his bed room. There was a king size bed against one wall and the wall itself was silver. Everything else was black. The walls, the bedding, the desk even was black.

Eric lead me to a secret door that lead on to an even bigger wardrobe than the last! "And this is my normal clothes, Oh and here is my en-suit."

"En-suit!? Why do you need an en-suit when you have that downstairs!?" I exclaimed.

"Why not?" he said and opened anouther door from his room that lead on to an en-suit. Ok this one was reasonably sized but this was MAD! In the room there was a second loo, a shower and a sink.

"Now to the guest's wing!" said Eric, he was enjoying this. I followed him into another double bedroom, (back downstairs) this one was crystal blue and a single bedroom of that wich was pale pink. These two bedrooms also had a shared bathroom.

"This is amazing." I said and fell back onto an incredibley soft arm chair in the blue room.
