"C'mon, his plane landed over there." Sean muttered before he started his trek towards the wreckage.
"What are you doing? If he's alive, he's gonna kill you!" Robin argued as he ran after Sean.
"Or if he's alive, we can make an alliance and end this once and for all." Sean shot back, speeding up his pace.
"This is a bad idea." Dan grumbled as he reluctantly followed the others with Phil by his side.
"Fuck!" Amy hissed as she stumbled and fell to the ground, her eyes screwed shut in pain.
"What's wrong?" Signe asked as she knelt down by Amy, brushing locks of her brown hair out of her face so she could look Amy in the eyes.
"I-I'm fine."Amy stammered, swallowing hard as she got back up to her feet with the help of Signe.
"No you're not." Sean interjected as he watched Amy wrap an arm around her stomach.
"You're pregnant, aren't you?" Signe asked gently.
Amy hesitated before reluctantly nodding, a weak smile lighting up her face.
"Stay here then with Signe, Dan, and Phil, we'll look for Mark." Sean instructed in a kind tone.
"I need to see him, no matter how bad." Amy protested fiercely, determination shining in her eyes.
"Fine, just....be careful." Sean sighed as he continued his walk.
Signe barraged Amy with questions about the baby as they walked, wanting to know gender and name ideas.
"I don't know the gender yet, but honestly I'm hoping for a boy." Amy admitted.
"A girl would be cool too, then she could grow up to be as strong as you." Signe remarked.
The two fell silent as they arrived at the wreckage, wary of the smoke pouring from it.
"I'm going in. Tyler and Ethan, you guys with me?" Sean asked the two.
Tyler and Ethan nodded silently in reply, following him into the remains of the plane.
"Mark?" Sean called out, falling silent to listen for a response as Ethan and Tyler moved around him.
"He's here!" Ethan called out from the smashed in cockpit.
Sean and Tyler ran over to Ethan to see Mark's body buckled up in the pilot's seat, blood trailing from his forehead and his body crushed between the seat and the caved in nose of the plane.
"I'll unbuckle him, can you guys somehow get him out?" Ethan asked Sean and Tyler.
"I'll try." Sean replied as he and Tyler placed their hands on the metal crushing Mark.
"Push!" Sean grunted as he and Tyler dug their feet in to bend the metal back just enough so Ethan could lift Mark out of the seat and lay him on the floor.
"Is he...?" Sean trailed off as Tyler knelt down to check his pulse, his hazel eyes narrowed in concentration.
Tyler shook his head as he stood up, earning a sigh of relief from Ethan.
"I'll carry him." Sean offered, looking at Ethan and Tyler for approval.
"Okay, just...just be careful." Ethan replied worriedly, concern shining in his eyes as Sean delicately scooped up Mark's body.
Sean nearly dropped Mark when his eyes flew open, his face twisted in a grimace of pain as he took shallow breaths.
"Amy...where's...Amy?" Mark panted, each word a struggle to speak.
"I'm right here babe!" Amy shouted as she ran over to Mark, pressing a passionate kiss to his lips.
"Thank god...you're...okay." Mark smiled weakly before breaking off into a coughing fit.
"Lay him down, I think I know what's wrong." Tyler commanded, surprising Sean since he had never heard the male speak before.
Sean did as he was told and watched Tyler gently press down on Mark's chest with a finger.
Mark wheezed hard in reply, his breaths raspy as he fought to breathe through the pain.
"He broke a lot of his ribs, and I think a piece of the broken bone pierced his lung, hence the wheezing." Tyler informed the group grimly.
"A-Amy." Mark gasped as he closed his eyes, a single tear trailing down his cheek.
"I'm right here, I'm not leaving you." Amy promised as she grabbed Mark's hand, squeezing it tight to reassure him.
"The....the baby." Mark whispered as Amy guided his hand to her stomach, his eyes lighting up with happiness despite the grimace of pain on his face and the tears running down his cheeks.
"I'll take care of them for you." Amy sniffed as tears welled up in her eyes.
"A-ah, it hurts." Mark hissed.
"Please, just...kill...me, someone." Mark pleaded desperately as he looked up at the sky.
"I-I can't, I can't do that baby." Amy hiccuped through her tears.
"E-Ethan? T...Tyler?" Mark asked the two, raising his head slightly to look at them.
Neither male looked him in the eye.
Dan and Phil retreated a step back, PJ shaking his head as he stepped back with them while Robin remained at Sean's side.
"I can't do it, but I won't make you do it alone." Robin assured Sean as Ethan offered Sean his gun.
Should Sean keep him alive?
Or
End his suffering?
