{Location: Stixxs} (Nya's POV)

Jay moans as we half snuggle- half hide behind a crate, "I never want to see a pen next to my picture ever again."

I stretch out my aching fingers, "If I ever see Ronin again it'll be too soon."

"Yeah. You got enough energy for a dragon?"

"Not really."  5 hours. That's how long Ronin used us for. How long we autographed for. And how long I want to ring Ronin's neck for putting us thought that.  "You?"

"No. Guess we're walking."  Jay gets up, pulls me up then looks around for any remaining fans, "We'll walk for a bit and once we get our strength, we'll fly to the temple."

"Sounds like a plan to me," I sneck along with my husband until we're far outside of Stixxs. Good thing too, it smells horrible. We walk along the train, both tuckered out from the flight. It's early evening and it's peaceful.

As peaceful as it can get when I know Ninjago being eaten alive by living shadows and some weirdo is masquerading as Willow's old codename.

"You ok?"  Jay brushes my hand, "You seem tense."

"Just wanting to get back into the fight."  I brush back as loud screaming approaches us. Something slams into Jay.  "But it looks like it's coming to us."

It's a serpentine. Scales. He rolls off of Jay as he points to a small mountain, "Run. Before they catch us."

Jay jumps up, his fingers zapping one another with lighting, "One guess, those living shadow things?"

"Yes."

"You need some cover?"  I see a group of 3 running towards us. I stretch out my hands as they fill with water.

Scales nods as he pushes Scales Jr. toward a mountain, "We would be mosssst grateful if you don't mind."

I aim for the one in the middle, who's wearing red sunglasses for some reason, "Our pleasure."

"Oh thank you," he slithers off.

Jay zaps the two on the outside only for the one on the left to stop dead in his tracks and the other two take the full force of our elements, "Who do you think these lamos were before they turned into this?"

The one in the middle breaks into some kind of super speed as he punches my jaw. He hovers over me, his jaw-dropping low, "Speed. Master."

I throw a back kick, rolling onto my feet as another shadow man touches his forehead. Getting out of the way of my next strike. I grumble as I go back to back with Jay, "I think the one with the sunglasses is the Master of speed. The one who touches his forehead is the Master of the mind."

Jay strengths his lighting as the third shadow man bumps his knuckles together, his black skin turning metallic, "And I'm fighting the master of medal. Witch conducts electricity."

"Great, just great," I chew my inner lip as more snakes slither up the mountain, "Guess witch one of our allies is also a shadow thingie?"  I blast all three, hitting them with more or less success.

"Skylor?"  Jay jokes as he turns my water electric, shocking them as they open their jaws, "No, scratch that. We'd all be doomed if that was the case."

I blast more as the sun fades away, "Is Scales safe yet? I don't know how much longer we're gonna last."

Jay jumps up with airjutzu as I spinjuzu the elemental shadows away, "There're in."  He drops into spinjizu as we spin towards the mountain, "Let's go."

I peek behind me as we zip over the desert, "They're getting closer."

"We're almost there."  Jay stops, buyinh me time as he zaps them then backflips into airjutzu.

We soar up the mountain, practically fall into the tomb the serpentine we're once trapped in. Sighing in relief as the entrance is sealed.

Scales appears over my face holding a torch, "Are you two all right?"

I slowly get up, helping my husband up, "We're fine. Just trapped in here. With no way to help save the world."

Jay checks his shoulder, being tender about it too, "I don't suppose you have a secret tunnel out of here so we can go help our team or something."

Scales slithers to a wall, taps a stone and a door showing a long hallway with torches light up.

"YES!"  Jay almost shocks me in his excitement, "I forgot you did."

Scales shrugs as Jay zips down the hall. He stops me, "There are lots of tunnels. I wouldn't want you or your boyfriend to get lost in there. Just go as straight as you can. You should come out near the city of Oraboris."

"Thanks."  I zip after Jay, "And we're married now!"

"Congratulations!"  Scales shouts after us, his voice echoing down the hall, "I'll send you a housewarming gift when this invasion is all over!"

I smile as I chase my husband. Every other invasion hasn't worked out in the past. Why should this one be any different?
