"Why are you so nervous? Don't worry Marius, you'll be perfect."Christopher playfully swats his friend's hand, that was fixing his costume, away. This show was pretty big for the school. It had never been this big in all the four years he's been in Glee Club but maybe it's because half of the original members, including him and his friends, were graduating and they wanting to make it a night to remember for them.
For everyone.
He just sighs at his friend's question, "This is our last performance of our high school careers. Can you believe that all of this is gonna be over soon?"
"I can't. But remember our plan? You, me and Thomas are gonna be living it up on Broadway." Cameron pauses for a moment, "Well, now that you're dating Autumn, we'll have to add her in the mix."
The brunette chuckles at his friend's comment, his heart fluttering at the mention of his girlfriend, "Yeah. Definitely."
Seeing his anxious expression change into one of a lovesick puppy at the mere mention of his girlfriend, Cameron decides to keep him distracted in that way.
"So, is Autumn gonna be in the audience tonight?"
"Yeah! She said she wouldn't miss it for the world." He trails off, his happy smile turning into a nervous one, "But, I'm quite nervous."
Cameron tilts his head, "Why? The fact that she'll hear you sing your heart out? Dude, she's heard you in the shower."
"That was one time! You weren't supposed to let her in the house!"
"And you weren't supposed to be showering five minutes before our movie night! You know that once it starts, it starts!"
Christopher laughs, causing Cameron to laugh as well at his friend, remembering the memories they've had that have lead up to this, this one moment that would define their high school theater careers.
This was it.
Christopher just couldn't wait to step out into the spotlight give it all he's got one last time and as he glances at Cameron, who's busy clowning around with Thomas and Aurora (the Cosette for the show and one of the best sorpanos he's ever heard.), he knew that this would be a showstopper, just like the rest but it would feel like more than that.
"Performers, this is your five minute warning." A soothing voice informs the group backstage and he looks to his right to see the stage manager with a mic in hand, "Five minutes until curtain."
Thomas lets out a squeal of excitement, wrapping his arms around Cameron, which almost hits Aurora in the process, as he guides him towards Christopher.
"Five minutes?! Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! We're going to kill it!"
Christopher nods happily, his anxieties calming with every energetic move Thomas did and reassuring smile Cameron would throw at him, "Yeah. This will be one for the books boys."
