~~~ Chapter 6 ~~~ Aimee's POV
The events of lunchtime whirled through my mind all afternoon and I desperately wanted to talk to Luke about it, even if I would probably be all awkward and he might think I'm nosy.
I managed to find him when the ball rang for last period, and we were waiting to go into Dramatic Arts class.
"Hi Luke can we talk?" I asked nervously.
Luke nodded and followed me into another grades locker room.
"So?" He asked and I could tell he was still angry for the same reason as earlier, even if that remained a mystery I intended to uncover.
"I just wanted to check you were okay," I said, staring at my converses. "You... You had a few nasty punches from Michael."
"I'm fine." Luke said shortly.
"Sorry I asked." My voice was quiet.
I heard him sigh. "No I'm sorry it's just... Private reasons. I'm fine though thanks. Michael's just a dick sometimes."
I smiled. "Really? He seems really nice."
Luke frowned. "I'm not sure I can trust him any more that's all." I think Luke realised he was talking to me, someone he barely knew. "Sorry I shoudln't be talking to you about this it doesn't matter does it?"
"No, it's okay. I don't mind at all," I offered him a friendly smile, when really in the back of my mind all I wanted to do was kiss him.
"Thanks," Luke rested his body against one of the red lockers. "Michael just... I didn't like it how he told you about Miley and my relationship. It's kind of bad memories. It was a hard time and... Yeah. It's no one else's business really."
"I totally get it," I lied. I was pretty sure the news told everyone the bad stuff.
Maybe he meant the fact that they were together?
"We should get to class," Luke said suddenly and then disappeared out of the locker room.
I stood there, surprised at his sudden exit, thinking that I was no closer to uncovering the mystery that Luke was beginning to come across as.
