The school bell rang on Monday waking everyone up from their weekend daze. I shut my locker and started heading to homeroom. "Ryan!". I could recogise that that annoying, sing-song-y voice anywhere. Sharpay. My twin. "Ryan!" she sang again "Are you still coming to rehersals tonight? We have be truly ready for the auditions. Miss Darbus won't know what hit her. Imagine it; 'Sharpay and Ryan as Sandy and Danny'" "In a high school production of Grease" I said pulling her arm which she had put round me somewhere during our conversation. "Think bigger Ryan!" She put her hand on my shoulder again "Right now It's Sandy and Danny in a high school production, but soon it'll be Sandy and Danny on Broadway! Anna and Kristoff! Romeo and Juliet!" "Ok, ok I get it" I said, maybe a little more angrier than expected.

She looked a little taken aback and my stomach twisted with guilt. "What's wrong? Did something happen at that party you went to on Friday?" My stomach twisted even more, I hate lying to her but I can't tell her about Chad. "No. N-no, Nothing happened" I was stuttering. I always stutter when I lie, and Sharpay knows it. I needed to get away from her before she asked me anymore questions. "I need to go to homeroom, I'll see you later" "Um. Ok. Bye then" She said confused but I was already racing towards homeroom.

When I to homeroom I lent against the wall outside to catch my breath, my mind racing. I couldn't stop thinking about Chad. I've liked him since 3rd grade. I never thought it was more than platonic. But, when I kissed him, I felt something, something I haven't felt with anyone. And, I think, he felt the same.

I walked into the room and took my seat at the front. My eyes flickered between the clock and the door. Waiting. Waiting. What am I doing. I think to myself putting my head in my hands. Waiting for him like he's going to even notice my existence. He never did before so he wouldn't now. He was probably drunk on Friday and mistook me for some girl. He didn't give me his number, he probably doesn't even remember my name...

"Ryan?" I look up and there he is. Standing in front of me. Tall, handsome and hair I just want to run my fingers through, again. He notices I'm staring but there's nothing I can say. It's like my voice has shut down along with the rest of my body. "You dropped you book on the floor" he said holding it out to me. "Oh, thanks. I didn't realise" I said eventually. I took the book and he went to his seat.

That's it. Nothing else. I knew he forgot about me. But when I looked down I saw a sheet of paper on top of my book that wasn't there before.

'Sorry, I forgot to give you this at the party.' It read, followed by a phone number.

Chad's phone number.

He remembered me.
