I fucked up. I mean...I REALLY fucked up and there was no coming back from this shit here. I had finally gotten my life back on track, along with my relationship with Syd, and it was all about to come to an end. Especially if and when Syd finds out yet another secret I've been keeping from her.
"This is the last drop that you ladies will have to make until after my baby is born." Talia said, standing in the middle of the living room. She had her hand on her swollen belly, slowly rubbing it, as she continued to talk. "Now before you all start bitching and complaining, this drop will be big and you will have enough money to last you until you are needed again."
"Plus, I will be throwing a little extra money in, so make sure you use your break wisely. Go on a trip or something, but whatever you do...do NOT hit me or Talia up unless you are in serious trouble." I chimed in, standing up from the couch. "Any questions?" Everyone shook their heads as they stood up from the couch.
"Alright, well...you know what to do, so let's get this job done so we can all take a break. Dismissed." Talia said.
"Hey Tevin...can we talk? It's about the drop." Jackie, one of the workers, called out to me. I sighed, looking around to make sure nobody was around, before I motioned for her to follow me into the office.

"What now, Jackie?" I sighed.
"You haven't been by to see the baby's nursery. What's up with that?" She asked, crossing her arms.
"I've been busy."
"Too busy to come see where our child will be laying her head?" She questioned, raising an eyebrow.
"Look...I'm sure you made sure the nursery looks nice, but stop calling that baby my daughter! I'm not claiming a damn thing until the paternity test comes back!" I snapped at her.
"As many times as we've had unprotected sex, you really want to sit here and not claim OUR baby? Wow!" She laughed, shaking her head in disbelief.
"I just want to be sure before I start taking on another man's responsibility. Like I told you before, if she is my child then I will step up and take care of my responsibilities, but until then...stop calling, texting, and coming by unannounced! I don't need Syd knowing anything about what may or may not have happened, until I know for sure." I told her.
"Fine. Whatever. I'll call you whenever I go into labor." She turned and stormed out of the room, leaving me standing there with a damn migraine. Back when I was messing around on Syd, Jackie was always my go to side piece whenever them worker hoes weren't trying to come off no ass. We only had sex a few times, which I should've wrapped it up every time we did fuck, but the girl's pussy was just too damn good and I wasn't thinking. Once Syd and I got back together, I cut everybody off, including her, but a couple of months after that...she revealed to me that she was carrying my child. I don't believe it though, only because Jackie was known to get around, but if she was carrying my child then I will do what I got to do and handle my business.
"I hope you're not back to your old ways." I heard Talia say, as she wobbled her pregnant ass into the office. "But then again...you hitting a pregnant chick would be weird."
"Right." I said, chuckling nervously. She eyed me and crossed her arms.
"What aren't you telling me?"
"Nothing."
"Tevin..."
"It's nothing!" I snapped at her.
"Snap at me again and I will knock you upside of your head!" She snapped back. "Now tell me what the hell you're hiding!"
"I can't tell you right now, but I promise I will soon. Aight?"
"Tevin...I swear to God...are you messing around on Syd again?" She asked me.
"Shhh!" I hissed, quickly closing the door.
"No! I am not messing around on her again, but...I um...I may have..."
"SPIT IT OUT!"
"I may or may not have gotten Jackie pregnant!" I blurted out. Her mouth dropped as she bawled up her fist and started throwing punches on me. I covered my face, eating them licks up, as she grabbed my shirt and slammed me against the bookshelf.
"SERIOUSLY TEVIN!" She screamed.
"Keep your fucking voice down! I don't want Syd to hear you!"
"Fuck that! I can't believe you did this to her again, but this time...you've taken it too far!" She snapped.
"I know, but I swear I haven't cheated on Syd since we got back together. This happened way before she even found out I was cheating!" I whispered.
"That still doesn't justify that you may or may not have a baby on the way! And on top of that, you made me hire her because she was your so called home girl!"
"I know and I was fucked up for that, but I needed to keep a close eye on her. Now she's about to drop this baby and if it is mine, then I will tell Syd the truth. But if it's not...Ima cut all ties with her and that will be the end of it." I assured her.
"All ties should have been cut, Tevin!" She shouted, making me cover her mouth. She punched me in the stomach, making me grunt as I leaned over and groaned in pain. "Don't touch me, fuck boy! I can't believe you!" She stormed out of the room, leaving me standing there feeling pitiful. I know I was in the wrong, but at the same time...I didn't know that karma would come and bite me right on the ass. I planned on proposing to Syd this weekend, but I guess that would have to wait until I know for sure if the baby is mine.
