My heart drops down to my stomach.
L: Oh.
Doctor: I'm extremely sorry that this happened. Is there anyone that you would like to call to come to the hospital? We have to do surgery with in the next hour or this deceased fetus inside of you can start harming you and cause more problems.
L: I-I'll call someone real quick.
Doctor: Okay. I'll give you some privacy.

Tears start welling in my eyes, I grab my phone and call Mom.
Mom: Hi Liv.
L: C-can you come to the hospital?
Mom: Why? What's wrong?
L: I had a m-miscarriage and they have to do surgery with in the next hour or it can become harmful.
Mom: Oh hunny I am so sorry. Hunter just got here. Do you want him to come?
L: Yeah I was going to call him next.
Mom: Okay. We're on our way. I'll see you soon Liv.
L: Okay. I love you Mom.
Mom: I love you too.

I hangup the phone and go to my text messages, I click on Joeys contact name and text him.
Liv: You don't need to worry about telling your parents anymore.
Joey: About what? The baby?
Liv: Yeah.
Joey: Why?
Liv: Because I had a miscarriage.
Joey: Oh.
Joey: Well at least now we won't be parents at 16 and we can actually have freedom and your brother doesn't have to be mad at you.
Liv: I guess.
Joey: Wait were you actually happy to have a child?
Liv: I wasn't at first but then I got used to it and I got happy that I could be a mom.
Joey: Oh. I'm sorry Liv.

I set my phone down and the doctor walks in with a nurse.
Doctor: We are going to move you to a room so we can hook you up to I.V's.
L: Okay.

I stand up and grab my phone and start following the doctor and the nurse to a room, when we get to the room the nurse hands me a hospital gown.
Nurse: Go in the bathroom and put this on and come out and sit on the bed so we can get started on the I.V's. Okay?
L: Okay.

I walk to the bathroom and change into the gown, when I finish I walk to the bed and lay down on it. The nurse starts putting I.V's in my wrist. 10 minuets go by and there's a knock at the door then someone comes in, I turn my head and see Mom and Hunter. They walk over to me and sit in the chairs by the bed.
Mom: I'm sorry that this happened Liv.
L: It's okay I guess.
Mom: After the surgery you're going to Hunter's because I have to leave town for a quick business trip and I don't trust your Dad or your brother and who knows what they will say to you.
L: Okay.
Mom: I'm going to get on the road so I'm not late. Okay?
L: Okay.
Mom: I love you Liv and I hope the surgery goes okay. I'll see you in a few days.
L: Okay. I love you too.

Mom gets up from the chair and hugs me and kisses my forehead, she leaves the room. Hunter moves his chair closer to me, he grabs my hand.
Hunter: I'm sorry Liv. I know that you were kinda happy to have a baby. I don't know if this makes it a little better but I love you so much Liv.
L: I love you so much too Hunter.

We talk for a few more minutes, the doctor comes in with a nurse.
Doctor: We are going to have to put you under anesthesia for the surgery. Is that okay with you?
L: Yeah.
Doctor: Okay.

The nurse hands the doctor an I.V, he walks over to me and puts another I.V in my arm.
Doctor: We will be back in about 5 minuets, that's about how long the anesthesia will take to start working in your system.
L: Okay.

The doctor and nurse leave the room, a few minutes pass by.
Hunter: When you get out of the surgery I'll be waiting in the waiting room for you.
L: Okay.
Hunter: I love you.
L: I love you too.

The doctor comes in a few seconds later and Hunter kisses my cheek and lets go of my hand. The doctor and nurse start wheeling me towards a surgical room while Hunter starts walking towards the waiting room, I start to feel woozy and everything goes black.

(2 HOURS LATER)
*Hunter's POV*
Liv went into the surgery 2 hours ago.
Nurse: Liv Melloul.

I stand up and walk over to the nurse and she starts walking to Liv's room.
Hunter: Is she awake?
Nurse: Not yet but she's in the recovery room right now and we will be able to discharge her when she wakes up.
Hunter: Okay.
Nurse: Is there someone here over 18 to take her home? We can't discharge her unless someone is over 18 or if it's her guardian.
Hunter: No. I'm her boyfriend.
Nurse: How old are you?
Hunter: 16. Her mom was here earlier but she had to leave. Could you discharge her if we called her mom?
Nurse: We probably could. I'll have to talk to the doctor and see.
Hunter: Okay.

We walk into Liv's room and I sit in the chair next to her bed, the nurse starts talking to the doctor. I grab Liv's hand and hold it, a few minutes pass.
Doctor: Are you able to get ahold of her mom so we can discharge her to go home with you?
Hunter: Yeah.

I grab my phone and call Liv's Mom and put it on speaker.
Liv's Mom: Hi Hunter.
Hunter: Hi. Liv just got out of surgery but the hospital can't discharge her to go home with me unless you approve that it's okay.
