The Love Of A Fusion.

This is what she fought to protect?

(Third persons pov)

The sun rose on the horizon, casting golden rays across a Sandy beach.

The sounds of shops opening for the day filled the air as people slowly began their days.

It seemed like a normal, calm day in beach city but the rest of the day still lay ahead of them, shrouded in mystery.

I'm a temple on the beach a young boy slowly woke up to his guardians moving around the loving area.

A tall, thin, pale woman was in the kitchen, preparing what seemed to be breakfast. This woman wore pastel colours, however this was not what stood out about her. There lay a large white gen on, Her forehead.

This was Pearl. A crystal gem.

Another woman sat at the counter snacking on, a packet of crisps. She was obviously very short and quite pudgy. She was coloured purple and had wild, light, lavender coloured hair. A deep purple gem sat on her chest, just above Her breasts.

Her name was Amethyst. She is also a crystal gem.

The final woman who sat upon the couch in the living room was the tallest of the three. She had black hair, it was shaped into a box like cut. Her skin was a deep red and she wore a visor over her eyes. She had two gems, one red and one blue. They rested in the palm of each hand.

Her name was Garnet and she was the current leader of the Crystal Gems.

The small boy stretched as he got out of bed and tried to tame his curly brown hair slightly as he headed for the bathroom to get ready for the day.

A few minutes later he emerged once more wearing a pink shirt with a yellow star in the centre and a pair of kakhi shorts with his brown sandals.

He made his way over to the counter and climbed into a chair and pearl placed his food in front of him.

"Thanks Pearl!" He exclaimed as he began eating a short stack of pancakes.

Amethyst let out a slight whine besides him as she looked over to pearl "Yo P! Where's my pancakes"

Pearl sighed as she began washing up a few dishes. "Amethyst. You do not need to eat."

"But I like it" the purple gem whined.

A small chuckled was heard from the couch as Garnet stood up and walked over to the kitchen, pausing to ruffle Stevens hair.

"Gems. We have a mission today. There was a disturbance in the area last night however we did not have chance to explore it. Luckily, whatever entered the atmosphere seems to have landed somewhere near by. Pearl and I will check the town while Amethyst and Steven check the beach"

The normally silent gem explained what they would be doing before she and pearl left for the town. Soon after Steven and amethyst left for the beach.

(With Steven and Amethyst)

"This is awesome. Going on a mission with the ste-man " Amethyst sung as she threw her arm around his shoulders.

The boy laughed as he looked round. "Hey amethyst. Let's get the bits after this!"

Amethyst nodded as she noticed what seemed to be in oddly shaped lump in the distance. Is she got closer, Her eyes widened at the form of a woman sprawled across the beach.

Her clothes were burnt in places and her blue hair was tangled and splayed around her form. She had small cuts here and there.

Steven ran over to the woman before amethyst could stop him and knelt by her, he shook her lightly "Hey! Are you alright lady!"

The woman groaned lightly as she slowly woke up. She lifted a hand to block out the blinding rays of the sun as she tried to understand what was going on.

"Steven stand back. she's a gem" amethyst hissed as she pulled the boy back, summoning Her whip and preparing to fight.

The woman slowly stood up, Her balance was off as she nearly stumbled.

"I... Where am I? Please don't hurt me. I'm not a threat I swear. Just don't send me back. They will hurt us again." the woman's tone was panicked as she stumbled back away from amethyst.

Steven ran upfront of her, spreading his arms out as if to protect her. "Wait! She's scared and hurt amethyst. We can't hurt her. She needs our help! Please." He pleaded.

Amethyst sighed as she eyed the new gem with distrust before she put her weapons away.

Garnet and Pearl appeared, running down the beach a moment later, before they came to a stop near the group.

Pearl quickly knelt upfront of Steven checking him over at garnet summoned Her gauntlets. "Steven are you okay. Did she hurt you?" pearl asked.

Steven shook his head before he looked at garnet "We need to help her garnet. She's scared and hurt." his voice held hope and pleading.

All was silent for a moment before garnet conceaded and put her weapons away.

(Celestes pov)

I was confused. There were other gems here. They seemed to listen to the odd little human in front of her and she was grateful for that fact. I'm Her condition she could not defend herself. In fact, she was surprised she had not retreated into her gems.

She looked over the other gems, analysing them before the boy in front of her dragged her attention over to him.

"Hi. I'm Steven and that's Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl. And we're the Crystal Gems! Who are you?"

He seemed so happy that a small smile grace her face before it crinkled slightly in pain as she shifted her body slightly.

" I am Celestial Opal. But you may call me Celeste. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm also a Crystal gem and I'm looking for Rose Quartz. "
She explained quietly.

The other gems seemed to tense at the mention of rose before they looked slightly sad l. There was much to explain, but they would not do so until they believed she could be trusted.

Celestes faced creased again in pain before she spoke once more. "Please....please don't shatter me." she muttered before her gems hit the sand and a poof was heard.

A blue gem and a green gem hit the sand before Steven picked them up. The other gems remained in shocked silence. It seemed Garnet was no longer the only fusion. They had much to discuss and so they headed back to the temple to discuss the matters at hand.

-time skip-

By night fall the gems had decided that they needed to talk to these mystery gems but it could wait until she reformed. Pearl had told the others that the two gems seemed extremely familiar.

So familiar in fact, that she thinks she may know them.
