(Told from Loki's point of view)

"Oh oh oh, fighting on school grounds and up at midnight!" Filch squeals happily. "You are in trouble, aren't you?"

"This is serious! Potter is up there with a dragon!" Malfoy screeches in an attempt to be proven innocent.

"Stay up there!" I yell at the top of my lungs, not wanting Harry and Hermione to get caught.

"Who do you think you're talking to?" Filch asks.

Harry and Hermione come rushing down the stairs anyway and enter the scene.

"Oh you goddamn idiots!" I screech at those two. "Didn't I tell you to stay up there?"

"Four out of bed!" He squeaks. "You're coming with me to McGonagall's!"

I climb off of Malfoy, who's shaking with fear. We all walk guiltily after Filch and enter McGonagall's classroom. What's Even worse, she has Neville with her too.

When she asks us to explain ourselves, I have some feeling that it should be me to explain it, but I don't say a word. I just have a feeling it would be better to just stare guiltily at my shoes.

When nobody speaks, she launches into a lecture about how disgusted she was at all of us. She gave all of us detentions, even Malfoy, who seemed to think this was unfair. And then she took two hundred points from Gryffindor.

Harry and Hermione broke into protests, but I continued to stare at the floor. I bit my lower lip nervously as I thought of how it was our fault that all hope for Gryffindor winning the house cup had instantly faded away.

She sent us back to our house common room, and I heard Neville sobbing into his pillow the entire night. The only thing I wished was for it to all be a dream...

Everybody hated us the following few days. The Slytherins would occasionally— ok, very often they would come up to Harry and say, "thanks Harry! We owe you one!" I would scowl at them as they walked away, roaring with laughter.

And another thing, Harry and Ron were convinced that Snape had gotten Quirrell to give in to his request to steal the Sorcerer's Stone, but I was still skeptical that Snape was even trying to steal it. There was plenty of evidence against it, I just didn't say anything because Harry and Ron wouldn't want to hear it.

The following day, each one of us— Me, Hermione, Harry and Neville— got a note that all said the same thing;

Your detention will take place at eleven o'clock tonight. Meet Mr. Filch in the entrance hall.

Professor M. McGonagall

I had nearly forgot that we still had detentions to do, but I didn't complain. At eleven o'clock, we made our way down to the entrance hall to meet Filch, and Malfoy was already there when we arrived.

"Follow me." Filch said, and he led us over by lantern light over to the Forbidden Forest. He starts to mutter about the horrible punishments that they used to do at Hogwarts, like hanging students by their ankles. I shiver involuntarily. I wouldn't be surprised if they used to crucify students as well.

We walked toward Hagrid's hut, and I saw him standing outside it with his dog Fang.

"Is that you, Filch? Hurry up, I want ter get started." Hagrid called.

I could see Harry's face light up with relief, but Filch noticed as well.

"Don't get too excited, you'll be going into the Forest today." He smirked. At these words, Neville whimpered and Malfoy stiffened.

"The Forest? We can't go in there! Not at night— there's all sorts of monsters in there, werewolves, I heard." Malfoy informs us, his voice laced with fear.
