Hi! Sorry for the long wait in between chapters, Finals hit and I had to focus on other, more important things in my life. But, I'm here now and I have two chapters to share with you today. Also, thank you to natedoggaming18 for voting on the previous two chapters, it means so much to me that you liked them!
This one was written during vacation, and posted September 3rd sometime around 6 in the afternoon. Now, this was posted alongside another little story, which I will be posting here very soon after this.
This story was a bit on an experiment for me, as you will be seeing soon enough. This is, again, one of the ones I really want to edit, but we'll stick with the original format for now. Now, hope you enjoy this double treat!
"Katelyn?"
"What?"
"Where are we going?"
"We already talked about this. It's a surprise."
"What kind of surprise?"
"A good one."
"..."
"..."
"... Katelyn?"
"What?"
"Why are there people following us?"
"Don't you remember? They're our people. They're here to back us up in case... the bandits attack."
"Bandits? Are they the same ones..."
"God, no! They're dead, remember? These are different bandits, and they're headed toward the farm."
"Oh, that one farm?"
"Kat, that was the only farm you've ever seen."
"But why are bandits heading there? Aside from Walkers, there's no reason why they should have their guns pointed-"
"We're rescuing people, ok? That's the mission today!"
"...O-oh, ok, Katelyn."
"...There they are."
"Ooh, so it's those three we're supposed to save. Ok, give me the gun, Katelyn."
"Are you sure you got this, Kat?"
"Of course I do, Katelyn. After all..."
Click. BANG. Thud.
"...I learned from the best."
"Wh-what...?"
"Who...?"
"Hey..."
"What?! Who are..."
"Psst! Kat!"
"What?"
"D-did you... save us?"
"You see that guy talking to us?"
"Yeah, I did."
"W-well, please come in. Thank you for saving us."
"No problem."
"He's the one."
"What?"
"He's the one who's gonna fix us. Make us whole. He's the one, Kat!"
"Um, hey, what's your name again?"
"Are you sure, Katelyn?"
"Is that a question? Of course, Kat. I'm always sure..."
"...Kat. My name's Kat."
