“But what else could it have meant!”
Shouted Frostynight. “If it’s not going south and leaving the continent, why does it say ‘Fly far, fly south, beyond the rain’?”
Owl ignored her. “Then what does 'stop by the mist to hunt and play' mean?”
Frostynight and Owl seemed to have turned into ‘dragonets of rage’ today, hissing and shouting about where the prophecy wanted us to go.
ARGHH, I thought, Could you two at least argue QUIETLY? Actually, fo you even know what quiet means?
We are flapping south, ready to go beyond the continent, as the prophecy says. Four extraordinary dragonets, one dark green, one a flash between red, black and purple, and two black and white, on a sea of green trees. Occasionally a small battle ground would appear below us now and then, usually it was either a small but violent debate of griffins and blood red RainWings, or a blur of griffins against stocky MudWings, sometimes maybe even both.
“Could all of you please stop shouting?” I hissed. “We are already this far and I don’t want to go back to Jade Mountain and start all over again, all right?!”
They completely ignored me, and instead they started shouting even harder at each other.
Can't they see it means something will happen south of Jade Mountain after a rain?, thought Owl. Instead, they carried me to this place!
Moonflow kept quiet, but it feels like she is arguing with herself in her mind. It must be this... Wait no that...
I opened my mouth to speak, but a face suddenly appeared up in front of me.
“Arghhh” I screamed, “Help! GRIFFIN ATTACK!!”
But the face started giggling, and flew slightly back to show that she is a RainWing dragonet, no older than two or three years, bright pink and yellow flashing through her body. A second dragon, a strange looking RainWing, rushed out of the forest, laughing so hard she was stumbling in the air.
“Did you the expression on her face? It was hilarious!” Shouted the first RainWing, bursting into laughter.
“Of course!” cried the second.
Naughty dragonets, really?
The second dragon tried to calm herself down, and slowly they both stopped laughing and turned to us. Neon colors still flashed in their scales.
“What in the world are you guys doing here?”, asked the first.
I lashed my tail in annoyance. “I was just about to ask you that. We are…”
“NO! Don’t tell them…” Frostynight gently bumped me on my side. I instantly turned around to knock her back.
“Don't touch me! Or you'll get a rip in your wing, too.” I snarled.
The the two dragonets started giggling again. I sighed, wishing I could just ignore everything and carry on flying.
“Growl!” I hissed “Just go away. We have something important to do.”
“Ooo, like what? A secret plan to defeat the griffins?” said the first dragonet, “Anyways, I am Vine, and that weird looking dragon there is a RainWing and IceWing hybrid called Leopard.”
