Finally. After almost an hour of waiting, I finally managed to book a Grab share! I'm running late to a meeting and today, of all days, is when one of the tires of my car decides to blow. I probably shouldn't have been surprised. It was the icing on the cake of what has been a pretty shitty morning. First, I misplaced my driver's license. I had to turn my condo upside down before I found it under one of the cabinets. How it got there, I neither had the time nor the patience to figure out. When I bent down to pick it up, I heard a loud rip and now my favorite pair of slacks has a huge ass hole. After I changed my pants, I hurried out of my room and promptly stubbed my toe on my drawer.

This Grab share is the first good thing that has happened to me today, I thought as I opened the door and slid in the backseat. I let myself relax after the driver and I exchanged greetings. I leaned against my headreast, closed my eyes, and breathed deeply as I felt the beginnings of a headache.

I hate Thursdays.

This is a bad omen, I thought to myself as I turned the key in the ignition for nth time. Nothing happened, as I knew it would but I had to try. My car is always doing this. I could usually get it to start after a few tries but today it refuses to budge.

"I'm going to get a Grab, okay? We can leave the car here and get someone to take a look at it later," my date tells me.

I nod in defeat. There was no use postponing our plans just because my car decided to be a jerk today. After a few minutes, he told me that he booked a car which is kind of a miracle since it's been extra difficult to book lately. I gathered my things and the bouquet that gave me.

"Hey, do you mind if I call shotgun? Sitting at the back gives me motion sickness," he asked sheepishly. I told him to go ahead.

I slid in the backseat and it isn't until the door is locked and the car started moving that my senses were assaulted by a familliar scent.
