I will never forget that smell for as long as I live. He's probably not the only person in the world who uses that cologne but it's the blend of the fragrance and his own personal scent that makes it unique. I know who this is.

I felt a little lightheaded as memories, triggered by his aroma, come rushing. The first time I met him. The first time we held hands. This first time we danced. The first time we lay under the stars. The first time we kissed. The first time we...you know. I felt my cheeks get warm at that particular memory. I should say hi. Ours wasn't what you would call an amicable break up but it would be weird if I didn't acknowledge his presence. Slowly, ever so slowly I turned my head, bracing myself for the impact of his stare.

And I am met...

...with the image of him sleeping, his cheek resting against the window and his mouth slightly agape.
