The calico starclan warrior bowed his head, "Yes I truly believe this is the right thing to do." The white she-cat he implied this to, shook her head.

"The risk is to much, what if it backfires. You know what can happen if she fails," the she-cat mewed, her voice a hoarse whisper.

"Yes, it could, but still. There are always risks in life, sometimes small, sometimes like this. Where the future of the clans could be in danger. But risks have to be taken, if we can have even the slightest chance of succeeding," Damplestar declares.

"Yes, I see your point. But do you truly believe a single apprentice can make the difference between the clans thriving versus total destruction?" she asked, the only answer she received was an anxious expression.

Now a new cat joined, her pelt was a silky black color, eyes were full of wisdom. "That poor, poor cat," Ivytail meowed.

The three starclan warriors were glancing at each other with apprehension.

"What if she's the wrong cat?" the calico asked his gaze full of unease. His tail was frozen in the moment, then limp with relief as the facts hit him.

"She is the right cat. Even if she fails, there is always the alternative route," the white she cat said matter of factly.

"There's an alternative plan?" Damplestar asked, his eyes full of hope again.

"I always have an alternative plan," the white cat mewed in his ear, then turned tail and disappeared into the thick undergrowth.

The calico cat was about to leave, when he saw a flash of black again. "If you came to reassure me again, it won't work, Ivytail" he called.

"Reassure you about what?'' Nightstar asked curiously. Damplestar hit himself in the head with his tail tip.

"Nothing, just thought you were someone else," he said trying to creep away.

"Not so fast, Damplestar," Nightstar called. Suspicion in the glare she was giving him, making him uncomfortable.

"The only reason i'm dreaming is for answers," she told him. Stalking closer to him like fresh-kill. Like one false step and she'd scare him away.

"And you will get answers," he promised, "Eventually." He turned around and almost succeeded in his escape, except that Nightstar had grabbed his tail tip with her teeth and bit down as hard as she could. A feeble squeak sounded from the dead leader.

"You do realize that you're only dreaming and I could fade away right now if I wasn't such a nice guy," Damplestar indicates.

"Sure. But I can't lead a clan on lies. Just tell me. What's the worst that could happen?" she persuaded.

"I guess you have a point," he mumbled. With that excitement bubbled inside Nightstar on what he would tell her.

"There is a cat, the only of her litter, who holds the secret to the cave of shadows. There will be creatures larger than dogs who will tear destruction among the clans," he whispered in her ear.

"What does that-", before Nightstar could finish her question she was alone. Confused, Nightstar sat down so she could process all of this in her mind. A she-cat the only of her litter, Nightstar ponders.

No, the only litters in the nursery right now is the litter of 2 kits, and the new litter of 3 kits that was only born recently. Wait! That's it. One of the kits in that litter looked slightly larger than the other 2. And slightly different coloring. They didn't even share the same eye color or fur texture. That kit, her names Silverkit. I will dig until I find out that litters secret. If the kit knows it or not. For all I know, she's the one in the prophecy. The one who could save us from the end of the clans. But a creature larger than dogs? And what's this about a cave of shadows?

A million questions and thoughts were going through the Thunderclan leaders head all at once.

"Nightstar, com'on wake up. Echofrost is on border patrol, and she hasn't organized any hunting patrols yet," a warrior named Lightwhisker woke her up. When Nightstar got out of her nest, she realized she was more confused than when she got in it.
