Chapter5- Feeling

Recap:"So how was school today?" He asked

"It was ok."

We didn't talk at all for 5 minuets till Benny broke the ice

"you wanna go to the carnival next Saturday with me?" He said anxious

"What, like too hangout and talk?" I said smiling and blushing

"Yeah."

"Sure" I said waving good bye too him as we split ways at our houses

"Bye Kat!" He said waving at me

"Bye Benny!" I said walking too my door and unlocking it with my keys

I was so in love

"Hey honey what's wrong?" My mom asked

"You seem different."She continued

"Your in love aren't you Katrina!" She said smiling widely waiting for my response

"Pff. As if! Anyways i have baseball to think about. I don't need a boy in my life." I said shrugging off the idea of Benny being my boyfriend

"Well there's pizza if you want too eat."My mom said

Grabbing a slice of pizza I ran upstairs to my room and I closed my door shut

"I can't stop thinking of him!" I said to my self

Shit I forgot my homework!

I grabbed my stuff and pulled out homework

After doing my homework I started doodling and writing

Putting my earbuds in and listening to music I sing along to 'Morning In America by Jon Bellion'

"I've been trying to keep up with all of these great expectations
So I keep on faking" I sing and doodle at the same time

But my mom's got a problem with oxy's and she's angry
Cause my dad's office door's always closed

It was rare, it was shocking and all the town was talking-" I sang until suddenly my brother bursts in my room

With the calmness being swept away I was frightened and scared

Causing my papers and my phone too fly into the air as I attempted too throw them to the ground

"Jesus Christ Jose! You scared me!" I said standing in worry but soon calming

"Your singing again." He said surprised closing my door standing in front of it

"Yeah I know it's been a long time." I looked down

I was self conscious of my voice and body I never let anyone hear me sing or wear shorts and a tank top

I would wear my flannels, Jerseys and jackets and only wear pants, even in the summer

"I know it's been along time since you sang but I missed your voice." Jose said sitting next too me on my bed

"Can you sing my favorite song again?" He asked

We would sing a lot a long time ago but I then started getting comments about my voice that were all negative

"Ok only for you big bro." I said smiling big

I sang Jose's favorite song 'Fool by cave town'

"I am just a fool to keep on chasing after nothing great
You are just a fool to keep pretending that you're loving me
I don't know where I'm supposed to go" I sang smiling as Jose was being blown away by my singing

After the song was over he hugged me

After feeling this wet feeling fall down my face I hadn't realized I was tearing up

"I love you Kat" Jose said kissing my cheek

"Your beautiful, and if people can't see it then Theyer Blind." He said getting up from the bed

"It's summer Katrina and your still in pants?." He said

"Yeah well it's nice weather here." I said picking up my stuff from the ground and setting it down n my dresser

"Its not as hot as Arizona but still wear something else it's too hot" he said

"Good night Katrina." He said

"Night." I said taking my socks off and slipped into bed.

'Its normal people get uncomfortable all the time. Your just being safe about you body your a good girl.' I said in my head
