Chapter 3

I lead him upstairs and my stomach filled with butterflies. Just a few hours ago, I was an average girl just chilling at my friend's house. Now I was hanging out with some of the most popular people from my school and I had made friends with a really cute boy. And i mean REALLY cute.

"Just come around this corner." I walked into Charlie's small room and opened the balcony doors."You coming?" I looked over at Stephan and smiled. I leaned over the balcony and stared up at the stars. Stephan stood next to me with his hands on the railing and looked up. We looked up at the stars for a few minutes and it was getting awkward, so i decided to start a conversation.

"So... Stephan. Why are all these popular kids over at Charlie's house? No offense to her it's just that the popular guys haven't always liked her that much."

Stephan looked at me and then back to the starry sky. "Oh, I don't know. Audrey just told us all to come over. Apparenly he really likes Charlie and he wants her to hang out with his friends."

"Oh." I twisted a strand of my knotty hair behind my ear and rested my head on the balcony. Maybe Audrey wasn't a player after all. He might actually like Charlie. Maybe. I still didn't completely trust him. "Um... Stephan. Do you go to my school? I've never seen you around..."

"No. I don't live around here." He shrugged his shoulders.

"Oh."

After a few seconds of awkward silence, I felt a pair of warm hands slide around my waist. I jumped in shock and felt the hands slip away. Stephan blushed and looked away nervously. "Sorry Blue. I should have asked you- "

"No, I-I don't mind." I grabbed his hands and slid them back around my waist. My body tingled and a smile crept to my face. I'd never had a boyfriend, and Stephan's hands felt nice wrapped around my waist. I suddenly felt nervous and wondered if he noticed that I had no curves.

"Hey Blue." Stephan leaned in and rested his head on my shoulder.

"Yeah?" I replied.

"Well... can you tell me a bit about yourself? You don't have to if you dont want to."

I looked up at his face and smiled. "No it's okay." I swayed slightly as i thought of what to tell him. "Well, firstly, my real name is Kiara Dovedale, but everyone calls me blue< and i'm seventeen years old."

"Have you had any boyfriends?" He raised his eyebrows.

"No."

"Do you... like peanut butter?"

"No."

For about ten minutes he asked me questions. Most of them weren't very important but I answered anyway.

"Anymore questions?" I raised and eyebrow and grinned.

"Well, there's one." He suddenly held me tighter and cleared his throat.

"Ask me then."

He looked at me nervously and looked away. "Well... I was just wondering if you would like to go somewhere this weekend?" I raised my eyebrows. I was not expecting him to ask me that at all.

"Um yeah sure i'd love to." I tried to hide my massive grin but failed. I have never hanged out with boys in my life. I thought it was because i was ugly or they didn't like me, but my mother and father always said that maybe i just wasn't meant to hang with boys.
