Chapter 6- Seeing is Believing

I laid on the bed and watched Stephan's face as he pouted in confusion.

"Why do you want to stay at my house longer? It's pretty boring here," he asked.

"Because, I kinda like hanging out with you..." I said biting my lip.

Stephan smiled at me and laughed.

"I like to hang out with you too, Blue."

Stephan smiled again and stood up, stretching. He held out his hand towards me and I grabbed it, letting him pull me up off the bed. He pulled me up and held me bridal-style in his slightly muscular arms.

"Let me go you freak!" I said wriggling around in his arms.

"Nope." He grinned cheekily and began running with me in his arms.

"Where are you taking me?" I said loudly.

"We're going out. You're not staying at my boring house," Stephan replied grinning.

He carried me down the stairs and placed me down gently.

"Oh thank goodness you put me down," I said taking deep breaths. "I seriously thought you we're going to drop me."

Stephan gasped and put his hand over his heart. "Are you saying I'm too weak to carry you? I'm shocked." He pretended to faint and fell on the tan-coloured sofa with a loud plomp.

"Haha get up you idiot," I said tugging on his arm.

"Only if you agree that my house is boring and that we should go out," Stephan said as he put his arms behind his head.

"Bloody hell just get up," I replied. I crossed my arms over my chest and pouted my lip.

Stephan bit his lip and smiled. "You're so cute Blue," He said confidently.

I blushed and he blushed in return. Even though I only knew Stephan for less than two days, I felt like I was starting to like him- alot.

"Okay, okay." I said raising my hands.

Stephan looked up at me, "Okay what?"

"Let's go out somewhere," I said.

"Yes! Alright then let's go!" He shouted loudly.

"Woah calm-"

We both turned when we heard the front door shake. Someone knocked three times and Stephan headed towards the door.

"Stephan? Let me in." A soft voice called out.

Stephan walked over to the door and opened it. A brown-haired lady walked through the door holding a cute beige handbag. She wore a tidy uniform that had a badge saying 'Helen' on it.

"Hello mum," Stephan gave his mother a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "How was your day?"

"Oh, it was fine honey. But there was this annoying-" The lady stopped talking and stared at me. She looked like a deer caught in headlights.

She blinked her wide eyes and began to speak, "Um Stephan. Who is this..."

I held out my hand, "Kiara Dovedale. I'm guessing by your badge that you're Helen." I smiled and kept my hand out, expecting her to shake it. When she didn't, I put my hand back my my side and looked at Stephan nervously. Did I do something wrong?
