this chapter is going to be based off of a dream i had. in the dream, i was Maka and it was really fun to experience because i was able to interact with Soul and he treated me just like he treats Maka? i dunno, but it was amazing and figured i'd write a one shot of it.

Maka's POV

Today was the last day of school for Soul and I.

A year back, we were both transferred to a normal school for normal kids. Nobody had told us why, one day day I woke up at my mama's house and Soul woke up at his parents house. They treated Soul as if they didn't know about his weapon form for whatever reason.

But one day, my mama woke me up and told me to get ready for school. She had breakfast ready, and told me that the bus would be here soon to pick me up. I asked her why, and asked what's happening, but every time I asked, she acted like she couldn't hear me. But I've never felt so scared when I woke up. Soul wasn't here and I wasn't in my apartment. I was somewhere far different.

That one morning, I did as told and got ready. I got changed, fixed my hair, brushed my teeth after I ate breakfast then went to the road my mama told me. I thought it was all just a dream, but oh no. I was wrong. Definitely wrong.

I went to the road, watched a wide yellow vehicle approach. The doors opened, while the driver looked at me confusingly. He asked if I was Maka Albarn, and I answered positively. He told me to hop aboard, and that's where it all changed.

The school bus brought me to a school that looked much smaller than the DWMA. I had gotten off of the bus, looking absolutely terrible and frightened. I had a backpack on my back, my iris' both were a pale green.

Everyone kept looking at me weirdly, some people whispered things. I didn't know what was happening. No one told me where to go. Not even my mama. I didn't know anyone. I didn't see anyone I knew, or even an adult.

It was terrifying. I seen people begin to move more quickly when a bell rang. That must've meant passing time started. I remember scurrying all over the place, asking people where do new people go, but got no where.

But everything changed when I seen the least expected.

People cleared the hallways, leaving myself standing in the middle of one and looking around.

My body turned in so many ways, looking up, down, even at angles. There were cameras, some opened lockers, paper on the ground.

But at one point, oh Death, I turned to look behind me because I haven't checked there for awhile. It was the best choice I've chosen to do.

There stood, across the long hallway holding a backpack by its handle, Soul 'Eater' Evans.

The number one person I wanted to see at that point, was there, staring at me like he seen a ghost.

The backpack I was hugging to my chest dropped to the ground. And the backpack he was holding onto by the handle collapsed as well.

"SOUL!"

"MAKA!"

I remember, we immediately moved our legs towards each other. My legs carried me at the fastest speed possible for them. Tears flew off of my cheeks, crashing onto the ground below that moved so swift.

Soul ran just as fast as me, but came to a halt when I crashed into him, immediately wrapping my shaky arms around his chest and holding on so tight. I gripped onto his shirt, burying my face into him.
