It was a typical night in the suburban areas of the city, with the sky that vastly embraced the land with darkness, and the heavenly bodies that pioneered with it. There was the big moon, shaped of flat circle, reigning over the northern east region of seemed to be the endless night sky. My head tilted heavenwards after my body slumped onto a wooden bench, though my arms and legs felt feeble after a long day dance workshop, and my stomach, was as if gradually producing a different burning sensation. I didn't mind the pain, instead, I kept myself swallowed both by the nebulous cosmos and influence of the rum.
Hours have passed, but I haven't moved an inch nor called for someone to pick me up. Hence, I let the cold crept in and stayed longer with the moon blankly staring at me. And as I kept staring back, somehow it felt comforting. The elliptical moon shone even more brighter as feathery clouds on the higher troposphere gave way to its king.
All of a sudden, the moon made dapples, different shades of small cloudy patches enveloped me as if its part of me. Its touch gave warmth to my almost freezing muscles, mending the sensations inside my body. Finally my eyes felt tired, but before they can even close halfway, the meticulous moon sent me frozen dandelions that made delicate kisses to my cheeks causing them to detach from numbness.
"Thank you!" I whispered in satisfaction. The moon, as what it do best, stared at me.
PS. I entered several phrases from this in my 26DaysofArt project so to anyone who've found this familiar, that's the alibi. 😊
