My body is a temple
I have learned to love it over the years
Even when people tried to break it down with jokes and stares
Even when people compared me to others
Even when I could barely look at myself without shedding a tear
And for that, I can only blame myself
I let those comparisons get to me
I let them make me forget that these slight curves are just enough to stop traffic
My being is another unique edition to this world
The way I flow when I walk is a force that can't be stopped
The way my body embodies a mind so open is a magic trick yet to be displayed
The way my body speaks without opening my mouth is a language too foreign for some to understand
When the earth spins, my body goes with it, at a pace just slow enough for you to see all that my body encloses within
My feelings, my personality, my humor
All too much for some to handle
But just enough to keep you reading
