I present to you a book like no other - Shirk in Disguise!☝

This story is quite different from all the cliché stories you might've read. I've read them too and really got bored with it all. That's why I tried my best to produce something that's unique and would probably wow you!😉

It'd interest you to know that this story is a bit of almost everything - Mystery, Suspense, Teenage Years, Romance, a teeny bit of Action and even Spiritual Guidance!💯

The title might strike you as odd at first...or you might even view it as a strictly Muslim book but that's not the case. There are many messages which I wish to send across to people around the globe and they're not restricted to a particular set of people. Therefore, buckle up and read on!👍

By the way, unlike some authors, I won't tell you to expect or ignore errors and all that😒 Instead, I'll ask you to politely point out errors so that I can set them right to make the book better. It's a win-win right?😌

PREFACE

Ever heard of people without souls? Figuratively speaking, a person without a soul is a person without purpose, one with no sense of direction. It's unfortunate that many of us are like that nowadays – lacking polarity and just going with the flow while not taking responsibility for our actions.

Choices have Consequences and Actions have Repercussions. Yet, many people forget so easily. In this journey called life, our paths could be straight or crooked, depending on how well we use the Compass in our heads and the Guidance sent our way. When one ignores them, the Superficial and the Substantial, also the Illusive and the Real, become blurred, making the journey even more tough. Failing to differentiate the usually glittering Illusive elements from the slippery Realistic ones and holding onto the former while shunning the latter result in regrettable consequences.

Such was the story of Azeema, an intriguing personality with an interesting past and a devastating end. Having grown up with losses and denials, she had longed for the glitz and glamour she saw in others' lives. She came of age surrounded by grinning crocodiles and toxic relationships, clutching at straws. Coupled with her own personal faults which influenced her choices, these finally led her to Shirk in Disguise.

However, her parents' choices, the society's views and the vengeful determination of an unforgiving soul also played a part in her story. Hence, it's beyond the story of one or two. Rather, it's a story of Reality and Illusion, side by side. A story of All, for All, with messages suitable for all reading ages.

This work is an attempt at Redirecting and Reawakening, with its unique narration containing a bit of Mystery, Suspense, Sacrifice, Survival, Youth Crises, and so much more.

NOTE: In addition to the meaning of the word 'Shirk' referring to Polytheism, the term also denotes evasion of responsibility (or duty), as well as procuring through trickery. Interestingly, all three concepts, as well as their causes and consequences, are explored in the narrative, showcased in realistic circumstances.
