The day Park Jimin lost his speech was the scariest day of his life.

The day was shared with the day Jung Hoseok nearly killed Min Yoongi. The two were in an argument, drunk and in the middle of the night, no cars on the road. Hoseok got mad, punched Yoongi in the face. Yoongi, off balance, stumbled and fell into the road. Apparently, god was against them, as a car sped round the corner, hit Yoongi and sent him flying across the road, then burst a tire and hit Hoseok with the side mirror, then crashed into a wall. Hoseok was by Yoongi's side, regretting his life, in an instant, begging him to stay alive.

Jimin woke up, rolling off the bed with coughs that shook his whole body. Jungkook, his roommate, was in the room in about twelve seconds, asking Jimin if he was okay. When Jimin, wheezing, shook his head, Jungkook stood up to get him a glass of water. Jimin grabbed his hand, stopping him from leaving. Jungkook knelt down next to him, rubbing his back supportively.

It was at the moment the hospital arrived for Yoongi that Jimin started spluttering out blood. Jungkook immediately called the ambulance, trying not to freak out for Jimin's sake. Jimin was trying to tell Jungkook he was fine, but was constantly interrupted with more coughs.

Jungkook had been sat directly next to Hoseok in the waiting room, waiting for Jimin to be discharged. He took a look at the person next to and was almost surprised. Hoseok had a very neutral expression on his face, like he couldn't actually feel emotions. He had tattoos creeping up his arm a snake of different words, names and phrases.

Jung Dawon is the best sister because she said she is.

My life is a pancake.

Min Yoongi won this bet.

Namjoon's territory lies on this bicep.

사랑은 의미가 없다 (Translation: Love has no meaning).

There were also several pictures, sliding up to his neck. There was a snake creeping behind his ear, which had about six piercings in it. His other arm was the same. Jungkook couldn't see his ear, but he bet it was the same.

Jimin was walked into the waiting room. Jungkook stood and hugged him, then asked if he was okay.

"He seems to be fine, so we're letting him go home." The doctor explained, holding a clipboard with a single piece of paper on it close to his chest. "There is a problem though."

"What kind of problem?" Jungkook had an arm around Jimin's back and was offering him comfort. They didn't notice this, but Hoseok was listening to their conversation and was judging what had happened.

"Jimin seems to have lost the ability to speak." The doctor said this rather bluntly, like he didn't really care.

"Well shit right up my dick," Jungkook sighed and stared at the floor, "he can't talk at all? Like, no words whatsoever?"

Jimin was staring into space, the feeling someone was listening to their every word growing stronger and stronger. Jungkook was speaking to the doctors. Jimin wanted so desperately to tell everyone to just shut up and let him go home, but no matter how much he tried it, opening his mouth wouldn't let words come.

A nurse with platinum blonde hair that hurt to look at walked into the room, asking for Hoseok. He stood up and left. He'd spared two seconds of eye contact with Jimin, and although it was so short, they both heard something click. Like two cords connecting them both to each other.

And then they lost sight of each other. Separated. But the cords couldn't be disconnected. They were latched onto onto each other through heart, body and mind. Soulmates meeting for the first time. And soulmates can't be taken away from each other.

November 21st, 2018. They were reunited four years to the exact day.
