Hoseok was sat in his room, isolated, trying to make sense of what had happened during the day. It was too stressful for him. His heart was pounding, fighting against his ribs like an animal trying to escape a cage. His head was thinking too quick for him to catch up with it. The left side of his face ached, his jawline already developing a red mark on it. His eyes had fogged over, though he wasn't really sure why. His emotions were a mixture of overwhelming happiness and a harrowing sadness that shook him to his core.

He closed his eyes, pushing tears down his face. He opened them again, sitting up to get his phone. He asked Jimin what everything meant. He was fine if Jimin thought it was nothing and they were just friends. If Jimin said they were together now, that was also okay. Hoseok hoped for the second option, but a part of him wanted it to have just been a small thing.

Hoseok couldn't remember the last time he'd laid a bad hand on Yoongi. Yoongi did it to him all the time when he was drunk, so Hoseok wouldn't have been surprised. He would wake up in the morning with a hangover and not remember what he did, then claim that he would never drink again. So this usually wouldn't be a problem.

But Yoongi wasn't drunk.

Hoseok's phone buzzed in his hands, but it was just his friend Namjoon asking if he was okay. Hoseok said he was fine. He wasn't fine. His phone vibrated again. This time it was Jimin, saying it was up to Hoseok, but that he would prefer them to be boyfriends. Hoseok wasn't exactly expecting Jimin to say that, so he answered back to him in shock. The conversation went on for about five minutes before they both came to the conclusion they were now in a relationship.

Hoseok and I are dating now.

Jimin had scribbled this on the whiteboard, unable to wipe the huge grin off his face. Jungkook smiled and said he assumed it would be that way. He told Jimin how proud he was. And he was. He was way too happy for him to put into words.

Hoseok couldn't tell Yoongi. How could he? He'd been struck just for kissing him about ten minutes ago, so how could he say anything. He wanted to talk to someone about the emotions building up inside him, but the only person he could talk to in person was Yoongi. Namjoon wouldn't understand, Yoongi was the cause of part of the problem and he didn't want Jimin to worry about him. So he sat there in silence, stressing. Tears were still rolling down his cheeks, but he didn't bother wiping them away.

"Hoseok?" Yoongi's voice, followed by gentle tapping on the door. Hoseok immediately rubbed the tears away and buried himself in his blankets, keeping his eyes shut. "Hoseok, I wanted to talk to you." Yoongi's voice was gentle. He perched on the side of Hoseok's bed, the only thing separating them was the blankets Hoseok held so close to his chest. He could hear his heart pounding violently. "I'm sorry. I overreacted. I just found out my mom got really sick and I was angry at the world and when you came in with this huge smile on your face I lost it. I'm really sorry. And I'm happy for you. Just be careful with him, don't hurt him. Be good to him and don't lose him. Okay?"

And with that Yoongi left the room.
