The next time they would meet would be a month of texting, and at Hoseok's request. He said they should meet up at a cafe just to sit and get to know each other. Jimin didn't mind listening to Hoseok talk for an hour, so he agreed. Jungkook was proud close to tears of Jimin, so happy for him and his date. Yoongi, on the other hand, had a different reaction.

"What do you see in him?" Yoongi had asked, bunched up on the couch with music blaring, rubbing off some writings on his arm. He'd recently gone for a job interview, and had written notes for himself all over both arms and his hands.

Hoseok stubbed at his cigarette and looked at Yoongi like he'd just asked him to eat it. "What do you mean? I think he's nice, I wanna be his friend, that's all."

"Hoseok, you can't hide it. You obviously like him." Yoongi shrugged, moving onto another message he'd written. He mumbled to himself, "엄마는 내가 일한다고 말한다. (My mom says I work well). What was I thinking when I wrote that?"

"My mom says you should keep out of other people's business." Hoseok went to leave, and closed the door behind him. "Bye Yoongi!"

Jimin and Hoseok met up outside the cafe. There was a slightly awkward silence as they claimed a booth in the corner for their own. They were sat apart from each other on other ends of the booth, but they could both feel it. The cords pulling them together, two magnets desperate to meet each other.

So Hoseok budged up to Jimin a bit more, shuffling along to him on his ass until both their thighs touched. Jimin jumped, not expecting Hoseok to get so close. Despite being closer, they both still felt the cords strained. Coming from their lips down to their feet. Some kind of burning fire within them both was in the process of lighting at touch.

"What do you wanna get?" Hoseok held the menu out to Jimin and watched as his eyes scanned the menu. Jimin shrugged his shoulders, pushing the menu away. "I'll buy you something when we get out of here, then. Ice cream or something."

Jimin smiled. There wasn't anything he loved more than people buying food for him.

Hoseok never actually ate. Just chugged a whole mug of green tea and then dragged Jimin out. They walked, freezing, bundled up in coats. Jimin's wasn't zipped up, so Hoseok jumped to the front of him and zipped it up himself. "You'll catch a cold" was his excuse, but he ended up freezing over himself when he realised Jimin was staring up at him. Hoseok's eyes had fallen naturally to Jimin's lips.

Hoseok planted a smooch onto them and carried on walking, trying to make sense of what the fuck he had just done. The fire ignited, scorching heat burning inside him. Jimin was left stood there, shaken. Hoseok turned back to check if he was there, but he was slowly moving to catch up. So Hoseok stopped, letting him. Then, tried to explain his case. His motive, though he wasn't entirely sure what the motive was.

"Jimin, I'm really sorry, I don't know what came over me. You ever have that, like, out of body experience where you just move on your own and-"

He was cut off by Jimin kissing him back. The kiss was slow, the more Hoseok got used to it, the more he started to enjoy it. He'd never actually kissed a boy before. He always knew he wouldn't die straight, but goddamn.

When they had to go, Hoseok had to drive Jimin home. They made eye contact before Jimin got out the car. Hoseok risked kissing his cheek, and Jimin just smiled. Jimin basically sprinted up all the stairs, ripping the whiteboard off the kitchen counter and flying onto the sofa. There was Jungkook, on his phone, staring at him like he'd risen from the deaths of Hell. Jimin was too busy trying to fit the whole story onto the whiteboard, but gave up, erasing it all and instead just writing two words-

We kissed!

-and shoving the whiteboard that close to Jungkook's face some of the ink rubbed off and was now on Jungkook's nose. Jungkook held the whiteboard at reading distance, then looked up at Jimin. He threw his arms around him and they just sat there with Jungkook blubbering on about how proud he was and that he was "당신을 위해 행복한, 형 (happy for you, hyung)."

Yoongi had punched Hoseok in the face.
