Ch 2 - The patient

As Dr. Parker walks into the patients room I see cute balloons and flowers everywhere. It's so gorgeous you can't help but smell the flowers.

"Cough!" You quickly turn to see Dr. Parker stare at you with a glare. You walk to where the other interns are.

"Alright, this is Kali she has stage 4 brain cancer." You look to Kali. She doesn't look sad, depressed or anything, she looks rather happy.

"Oh come on Dr. Parker, you don't always have to make things so depressing." Kali smiled and Parker had no choice but to act at least a little happy. He forced a smile, she smiled back.

"Hi everyone, so from what Dr. Parker was telling me before about interns is that one of you guys will be with me and he will take the rest of you and put you in the pit." (If you didn't know the pit is basically the Emergency room) Dr. Parker looks at all of us, smirking.

"I promised Kali that I would let her choose who the intern shall be, so I'll leave the rest to her at the moment." Dr. parker moves to the corner of the room to watch, he looks at all of us still smirking like he knows something we don't.

"Alrighty interns, stand in the middle of the room!" She yells. All of you quickly run to the middle in a straight line. She looked at all of us like she was able to see or hear our thoughts, It kinda freaks you out. She immediately looks at you.

"You, what's your name?"Kali asks.

"My name is Y/N L/N." She noticed that you say your name with confidence and admires that.

"Alright Ms. L/N I saw you when you walked in here, you looked all around the room like it was an art museum and smelled the flowers are you fond of these things?" That's a weird question you though.

"Yes ma'am, I apologize for snooping but I just thought it was very nice and that you really do deserve them for fighting so hard," you say bluntly. I could fell Dr.Parkers eyes on me and felt slightly uncomfortable, Kali just started laughing.

"Alrighty then I've made up my mind, Dr.Parker I would love to have Ms.L/N." Dr. Parker walked out of the corner and put his hand on your shoulder.

"Alright Ms.Y/N Kali is in your hands tend to her every need alright?" You nod and Dr.Parker starts to leave and on the way out you can see a smile on his face. The other interns give you high-fives and wish you luck. Once everyone leaves you go back to Kali.

"So Mrs.Kali how may I assist you?" You ask politely.

"Well Miss L/N-" you interrupted.

"You can just call me Y/N." She looks to you and smile, which makes you feel so happy to see she is still able to smile.

"Ok Y/N, well lets see I'm not really doing anything right now but if you want to grab that stack of cards over there we could play?" You look over and grab the cards on the shelf. You two start playing a pretty intense and hardcore game of go fish.

Y/N POV

I grab my tray from the hospitals cafeteria and get a sandwich. I look around to see if there are any seats. I spot my fellow interns eating together and see Mason gesture for me to come over to them. I make my way over to them and notice Dr. Parker sitting alone reading a book. Doesn't he have anyone to sit with? I make it to the table with my colleuges.

"Hey guys." I say placing my tray down and laying back in my chair.

"You look exausted Y/n." Mason chuckles. I kinda just glare at him. After Parker assighned my to Kali he made me take all of the paperwork and I still have more to read and more. I glance to Dr. Parker, I look at him reading his book.

'Him and his stupid book with his soul peircing eyes and his nice body... WAIT WAIT WAIT NO NO NO NO! Pull it together Y/N he is your resident I shouldn't be think about that besides he's a total ass'. After you snap out of that off topic thought with myself, I notice that he is looking at me. He probably noticed I was staring at him and now he's just glaring at me, wtf did I do? Yeah it's kinda weird looking at him but damn.

"So Y/N how's your first patient?" Mason asks as he eats a jello cup.

"Kali is great she's so sweet and nice but damn she can play cards, she beat me every time we played." I laugh and everyone kinda laughs with me. Wow look at me making friends, good job Y/N.

"Oh yeah guys, I can't wait for the first surgery!" I look at Mason confused.

"Don't tell me you don't know Y/n one of the attendings gets to choose the first intern to do an appendectomy!" Skyler my fellow intern on Parkers service.

"Which attending?" I ask.

She gulps, "Well, Rogers was supposed to say but he put the duty up to parker..." We all choke on our food and drinks.

"Oh Shi-" Mason is about to cuss.

"Languge Jones." I turn around to see Dr.Rogers chuckle as he goes to sit with Dr. Parker.

"You know Dr. Rogers, Mason?" You ask. Mason avoids the questions of course though.

A few minutes pass and I've already finish my sandwich and jello. I glance at Dr. Parker one more time just to see if he is still with Dr. Rogers. I see them talking and Rogers glances and me and smirks.

'What the hell are they talking about?' Dr. Parker gives you another one of his glares so you turn right around, but you hear Rogers laugh after. Who the hell does Dr. Parker think he is! I stand up fast and my chair kinda makes and screeching noise.

"Alright guys I've got to get back to my patient." I start to walk out of the cafeteria and look back at Dr. Parker and give him a deadly glare before leaving.
