{Kayla's POV}

He was there, stained with blood all over, and gripped my wrist tightly. My fingers clenched, desperate to break away from his grasp.

"Get away!" I shrieked hysterically.

His grip on me remained as firm as ever, his merciless stare bore into me. He led me, as we trudged our way through the forest.

"You'll never get away.." He said slowly, a small grin apprearing on his face.

I scowled at him, figuring how to escape.

He left me alone a while later, footsteps fading into the distance.

"I've got her." The same voice said.

"Good." The other replied.

It then struck me.

I was the 'her'.

I was the wanted one.

I jerked awake, feeling anxious and worried due to the dream. Self-comforting myself, I gathered a few necessary items and checked my clock. 2:13AM, the clock read. I glanced around the room, opened my window, and jumped off the ledge.

This was my 13th escape, which implies that I failed twelve times, and that every time I attempted to escape I was closer to my goal. I believe that this time would be so much easier, but everything has its risks.

From the previous attempts, I have learn pretty lots of things, to make the next attempt easier to escape successfully.

Such as, the radius of the Faerie Circle is approximately 23km, the sun rises at around 6.34AM, and Faeries tend to wake up at 8.46AM. But I only have around 4hours to escape. Faeries can wake up way earlier than expected, but not before dawn.

I move toward the forest, glancing around occasionally to check for any Faeries, or even creatures in the forest. I cannot afford to meet any living creature, they would report to the Queen.

I met a rabbit once, and whoosh. I was whisked back to my so-called 'home' that I stayed in for as long as I could remember. I bet that rabbit reported me to the Queen. Sheesh.

For safety, I moved through the tree-tops, accidentally dropping a vial while ascending the tree.

The vial contained a figurine, and it could summon this kind and helpful Faerie called Tyke when broken. Hell knows whether it broke or not, I had no time to care. Rapidly, I jumped through the tree-tops, ignoring the pain that was caused from being scratched by the sharp tree branches.

I'll heal it later or something, I thought. Scratches wouldn't hurt.

The sky slowly begun to turn a shade lighter, and the first rays of light peeked out from the dark clouds.

There wasn't enough time left.
