{Lola's POV}

Today was the day.

Excited, I ran to Minerva's room and knocked on the door. "Minnerrrvaaaaa!" I exclaimed, drawling the syllables in her name. "Today's the dayyy, righhttt?" I asked cheerfully. The door opened and a smiling Minerva stood in its place.

"Yes, today's the day! Dawn was just over, after dusk you'll be officially Faerie!" She smiled. "Only that you'll be half-Faerie. Your human blood has healing powers. Plus this way you would be resistant to Iron, I guess. It'll be useful for battle."

I jumped all around the room in excitement, excited that I would finally be a part of them, and to have wings and can soar in the sky. "When would it be? When would I Change?" Minerva pondered over this question for a while before answering.

"Changing is a tedious process. You need to have a strong will, and a healthy body. Mostly you need to know about us. I suggest you should start training now, battle is coming, plus training helps to Change easily. Off you go, prepare for training. Shoo!" Minerva said good-naturedly. She shooed me out of her room, and I headed to prepare for my daily training.

I garnered my things, smiling, and wore my training gear. I headed over to Kayla's room and knocked on her door. I wondered if Kayla had escaped again, she had attempted to escape twelve times already. I cross my fingers and hoped not. Whenever she escaped, it felt as though she hated us for life.

Knock, knock.

"Kaayylaa?" I asked, knocking on her door gingerly, hoping that she was there. I hated it when she escapes. As though she hates every single one of us here, and that she just wants to leave.

Knock, knock.

"Kayla? You there?" I questioned. I grew suspicious. Did Kayla escape - again? Or was Kayla in there, sleeping like a pig?

I gave up waiting outside for Kayla like a dummy. Immediately I attempted to barge in. As of result, I got a sore head and a few bruises. Kayla probably locked the door.

"Forget it," I mumbled, irritated. I placed my items into my training bag, and headed to the training area.

The training area was an approximately short seven minute walk, and was somewhere at the edge of the fields and close to the forest. It was marked by a little rainbow coloured flag by me, so we would be at the exact same spot where we would meet up for training every time. I began to set up items for training, such as my crossbow, the shooting board, etc.

Since Minerva had not arrived, I began training on my own and began shooting, with things weighing on my mind.

Is Kayla gone? When would I be officially Faerie? When would the war begin?

Questions ran through my head as I attempted to answer them, comforting myself, and allowing myself to become less worried and anxious.

No, I don't think so. Tomorrow. No one has any idea.

Minerva arrived.

"Come on, Lola. Let's begin."
