We received strange glances from passerby as I held her hand and we walked by the river. She lightly tugged on mine and nodded her head towards a bridge that went the opposite from my apartment.
I smiled slightly and walked with her to the middle of it where we leaned on the railing and studied the setting sun over the water. I caught a slight movement from besides me and I looked over to see her handing her phone out to me.
I laughed slightly and she looked up at me as I pulled mine out. We swapped and put our numbers in. I looked at what she put hers in as. Ellie.
She looked at her phone and smiled. "Alright, Robyn."
I looked down at her, smirking and rolling my eyes. "Alright, Ellie."
We smiled at each other for another fleeting second before turning away and going our separate ways. Before I even reached the end of the bridge, my phone buzzed against my leg. I looked at it to see it was from Ellie. I smiled, laughing slightly and shaking my head.
I replied before walking the rest of the way home. When I was there, I grabbed my most recent notebook and started writing again.
