It was my first day already. I was really nervous. I stared at my uniform for a while. "This new job can't be that bad", I thought. I put on my uniform and walked down the stairs. Adym was there. Ugh, just another problem in my way.
"What're you doing here?"
"Waiting to walk you to your work"
"No thanks"
"I didn't wait 20 minutes just so you could say no"
"Fine, I would prefer if you weren't so close" I said. He was pretty close. I mean I can't say I didn't like it, but it just felt weird after what happened the night before.
"Can we talk?" He said as I stared into his gorgeous brown eyes. Stop it, Roxanna. You can't catch feelings for this guy. The last time you caught feelings, everything went wrong.
"About what?"
"Last night"
"I'm sorry, it's just-"
"No, I understand. I shouldn't have went so fast"
"It's okay, I guess"
We were approaching the building already. Our walk was amazing. I never wanted it to end. But, alas it did.
"This is our stop, Adym"
"Yeah"
"I'll see you later"
I walked in to the smell of fresh coffee. The place was empty. Literally empty.
"You must be the new one"
I heard a voice behind me.
"Yeah, I'm Roxanna. Most people call me Rox though"
"I'm Lupita. Don't expect us to be friends"
"I wasn't even planning to talk to you" I said. What a bitch.
The day wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Lupita was a complete bitch.
"There she is"
Ugh, it couldn't be. Why was he here?
"Adym, why are you here?"
"Can't I say hi to my girlfriend?"
"Woah, wait what did you say?" I glared at him.
"Rox, can I speak to you in the back?"
Crap. Why did Lupita have to be here? She seemed angrily confused. So, I just went to the back.
"What do you want, Lupita?"
"You're dating Adym Yorba?!"
Dating? DATING? We barely met. There was nothing between us. Absolutely nothing.
"I wouldn't say dating"
"He just called you his girlfriend. I'll give you a sec to come up with an excuse."
"We aren't dating. We're friends. What's the big deal?"
"Big deal? He's a huge deal! You know Adym Yorba. The Adym Yorba."
"I still don't understand"
"That's It'sRiccoTho! Like the one who has 1 million subscribers on YouTube"
Adym was a YouTube star? Who would've known. I didn't even know he had a YouTube.
"Roxanna I can't wait forever!"
I heard him yell from inside the store. He's so loud.
"I'm sorry Lupita. I have to go"
"No it's ok. I expect an autograph by Monday though"
"Wait wha-"
"ROXANNA" Adym yelled.
I ran inside.
"WHAT DO YOU WANT, ADYM?"
"I just wanted to leave. God"
We hopped into the car and went to my apartment. We had like a moment right outside of my door. Like the moment at the beach. And when there's a moment like that something bad always happens after.
"Roxanna, wait" Adym said before I went inside.
"Wha-"
Before I could even finish my sentence, he kissed me. It was mesmerizing.
"I have to go" he said.
I thought about our kiss before I walked in. Which was amazing. But, little did I know what was waiting for me inside.
