The Future?

"What are you doing here?" I asked once we broke off.

"I had to see you before I headed home."

"You do not have to go home, Dustin just gave me, I mean you his blessing!"

"When?"

"Just now, I had another blackout, and I convinced him too!"

He smiled, then he kissed me. Outside my door I heard, "Rikki Lynne, who are you talking to?"

I realized we were talking really loudly (whoops), "Nobody Uncle, I was talking on the phone." I hid Jarrod in my closet knowing that was not enough for my uncle.

"Well," he said barging in my room, hoping to catch me doing something wrong, "I have decided to release your punishment, and you have all your rights as a princess back like making announcements ha like you have something to say to the peasants, make decisions, and..."

I cut him off, "I know my princess rights, you do not have to state all of them. Thank you for unpunishing me, Uncle."

"Okay, just wanted to let you know," he says as turning his back and walking out of my room.

A moment later, Jarrod busted out of my closet, "You need to clean that out, it is a mess!"

I laughed, "Yes I do." He picked me up and kissed me. I broke off the kiss, "First, I have to make an announcement with my brother. It is really important."

"Okay, whatever you want Princess."

My brother walked in on us kissing, "Uhhh, I am so sorry, but what the hell are you doing in here?"

"I kind of climbed up the wall and through her window to see her," he said while blushing. 

"Oh wow, that is real original Prince Charming. Is he going to make the announcement with us?"

"Umm no," I said. Jarrod looked confused. "It is okay, just stay right here."

We kissed one final time and then Dustin said, "I give you my blessing, if you cared, oh wait obviously not."

"Of course I do, I looked up to you when we were little. I have a lot of respect for you. Thank you."

I ran in my closet and put on a turquoise, tight fitted, silky, formal dress. Then, my brother and I stepped out onto the balcony. Every citizen works outside during the day, plus we have a microphone in case big news from the royals needs to be known to the kingdom, so everybody can hear. Dustin asked me, "Are you ready for this P?"

"Yes I am. I am ready to destroy our aunt and uncle forever."

"Okay," he said. He stepped up and spoke into the microphone, "Zuzannians, please listen up, Princess Rikki has an important announcement to tell all of you."

All the people came out of their houses, put down their tools, and stared at me. I took a deep breathe, and Dustin nodded at me, "You might have heard rumors about my aunt and uncle, your King and Queen. The rumor was that they released the dragon seventeen and half years ago, that killed Dustin and I's parents, King Matthew and Queen Katherine. Well, I am here to confirm those rumors." I heard gasps throughout the kingdom. I continued, "Like my mother, I have the power, I guess you can call it that, to see the past. Well known as blackouts." I saw people running everywhere trying to escape the kingdom, so they do not feel the wrath of my uncle again. The guards were running to go put the gates down. The Zuzannians still running in panic, but the one thing I did not want to see was my aunt and uncle. When I turned around, they were right behind me, "Awe man, busted." I thought.

"My dear, dear niece, why did you not share with us your little secret?" my uncle asked.

"Because I knew you would either try to escape or kill me, like you did my parents!"

And of course, in the worst time possible, I blackout, but the last thing I saw before going completely black, I saw Jarrod and Dustin running over me with their swords drawn, and they both said, "Do not touch her or take another step!"

When my vision cleared, I thought, "Do they practice that, because they are getting good at saying things at the same time?"

I looked around, and I was in the castle, but I saw a little girl that looked like me and a boy that looked like Jarrod, running around the corner. I thought that was us for a moment until, "Annabeth and Aaron stop running in the castle!" A women came around the corner and was in shock that it was me.

"Listen to your mother, children," a man came around the corner following closely behind me, and it was Jarrod.

"Yes sir, daddy," they both said putting their heads down.

"Now. go clean up for dinner, before the gaurds come and get you two and throw y'all in the dungeon," I chased after them.

They screamed, and we laughed. I laced my fingers into Jarrod's, and we kissed, "Let's go sit my Queen."

I realized, I was the Queen of Zuzanna and Zanna, "What happened to Dustin?" I wondered.

Just then I heard a voice, "Hey sis, can I join you guys for dinner?" That answered my question.

"Of course, bro, you never have to ask that question, you know the answer."
