It was now 1 in the morning and I decided to go through the front door. I knew my mom was up probably typing up a report on the couch. I was right and jumped over the ledge and sat next to her, her laptop was slightly pushed back as she stared at the tv very focused on a documentary on whales.

"Blue whales can live up to 90 years old," I repeated after the narrator which made my mom jump. She looked at me frightened and slapped my arm lightly.

"How was your date?" She snickered a little.

"Mom! It wasn't a date, you know very well I hated him for so long he can't make his way into my heart that easily." I stole some of her trail mix and popped a couple in my mouth.

"Coach wants to see you at the gym tomorrow there's a practice match." She thankfully ignored the old topic.

"Then I should probably go to sleep." I kissed her good night, and skipped my way downstairs. There was no chance of me going to sleep after having two full burgers and an Oreo shake.

Only if I knew how tired my fries made me. I woke up with my pillow and jacket collar drenched in drool.

My phone read 11:56 and practice started at 12:10 which meant I had 13 minutes since it took me a whole minute to stretch. I jumped up and went straight to the bathroom, I showered even though I would come home smelling like a high school football locker room.

My phone started to ring as I pulled on my spandex and the words Coach made me fall towards the floor and I landed with a big thump.

I picked it up as fast as I could and cringed at my coaches loud screaming. The only way I'd get myself out of that one is bringing him an energy drink and croissant.

12:38 on a big red digital clock that hung over the entrance of the boxing gym. I gripped the 7-11 bag and walked in with an apologetic smile smeared on my face.

"Oh Coachhhhh, aren't I the best?" I put both my arms up and walked towards him as he talked to the year 10s.

"Leave it on the table and I want 138 jump ropes now!" He didn't sound mad at all and just gave me a serious look.

While getting my hands wrapped I noticed the very bright and annoying blue shirts come in from the front entrance and I knew the exact gym I'd be boxing in about 10 minutes.

Boxing your said opponent in an actual bout was against the rules so I was probably boxing the second best boxer at the same gym as Bitchney. And there she was getting ready to warm up her teammate.

"I can see how badly you want to fight Britney," My coach pulled my head away from their practice area and flicked my forehead, "Madison Wright, 120 lbs and 5'2 she's small but packs a punch. Known for going lower and will catch you off guard at any moment. But you fought about 7 months ago so her skills are probably the same just a little enhanced."

I listened to him half way and was still focusing on my surroundings, all practices today were pushed back until after my practice match. And the people from this gym still stayed around to watch since I would be representing the 17-18 year old girls team, along with Kim and Zoe. Which were no where to be seen.

"Where are the twins?" I mumbled while practicing some footwork.

"Went to pick up some of our new gear. You can go change now." As I walked to the stairs that led to the private room resorted for home fighters I saw Derrick walk in with food which made my tummy grumble.

Today just had to be the day my braids were too tight, and when I decide to lose my red tape for my feet. I decided to stick to my white tape and felt uneasy as I climbed into the ring.

The fight started in a breeze and this little girl definitely got faster and worked in her feet a lot. I never liked when I didn't get the first swing but she misjudged my footing and went flying. She can't handle her weight and that's one flaw I noticed.

And by the way the steals of her gloves flew with her movements she made them loose.

Once my coach said I looked like a soccer player because of the way I moved my feet and decided to work on it, I practiced with some of the guys on the team that lived in my neighborhood and this girl had it coming.

One step two skip three and go on the go

It's been  a while since I last made contact with a jaw and it felt good to feel all the crackling.

She stumbled a little and was probably a little dizzy, she came right at me and immediately started going at it I couldn't block each one or I'd be called invincible. I stopped blocking and found all the opened spots and quickly put the fight back on my side.

I didn't wanna be the one to start using my legs and after nearly get it hit in the face and I got into my lower offense position. Instead of aiming for the face like she did I landed a good hit on her side and quickly switch my legs and knocked her off balance.

She slammed right on her side and I stayed back, this fight meant nothing to my scores and she could call it off if she wanted too.

"Fighter can you continue?" The ref offered his hand and she accepted it and shook her head a little, her right rib cage was red and her leg was already bruising.

She went right at me again but I easily dodged it and waited for her to turn around so we could start a 1 on 1 properly.

I was actually really good friends with some of the girls from Britney's gym and one of them was Maddie, I smiled at her and we in a friendly way tapped gloves and danced around.

The fight ended as fast as I wanted it too, we said friendly goodbyes and went to the locker rooms to wash up and change.

"Why the hell didn't you win!! Are you kidding me Madison you know how important my fight is with her and she played you with some old-"

"Hey Bitchney enough your girl played better than you did in your first practice match with me. You scared Ima win this year since you couldn't see any of my new moves?" I walked over to their side and smirked at her.

"Who asked you?" Another lower aged fighter spat at me.

"And who asked you? I'll see y'all again in a couple weeks right? Bye now." I smiled and walked back to my things and left.

Fighting her again and winnings is going to be the best thing ever.
