Derrick Jones(>^>^>^>^)

She hates me? Who would hate me? I don't even understand whats the big deal in not talking to your friend for six years. She's just a girl Derrick. They act like that.

I looked up and saw her gone. I'm not letting her just hate me for the rest of her life. She said she liked you. I think I like her back.

Girls are impossible.

"Derrick?" I heard Britney chirp.

"Not now, tell your uncle I left school." I said, and left to my car. We were neighbors anyway. I always remember her in her backyard, practicing. And how she would help her Mom in the front with the garden they had. What do I do to get your trust back, her love back, How do I get my best friend back?

I pulled into my house, and saw Carter moms car, and her car. I got out, and saw my driveway was empty.

"Mom!"

"I'm only here for a minute," She shouted from the kitchen.

"Okay, I'll be downstairs." I answered and went back downstairs. I kicked off my shoes and got undressed into my spandex and sports bra. "Mom, can I start training now?" I shouted upstairs.

"Don't get hurt. I'm leaving now," I heard her footsteps near the door. "Don't forget my spaghetti either!!"

"K, bye."

I ran upstairs and saw her drive out. I grabbed my speakers, and walked outside to my punching bags, and boxing gear. Most girls would be training for Gymnastics or cheer leading. I was training on winning that gold medal in 2 weeks for boxing. I wrapped my hands up, and started all the machines. I remember practicing with my dad, I started this when he had to stop the same year I lost Derrick, now I love boxing and do it everyday. When I finished with my hands I put on my gloves and stood next to my punching bag then forgot to start my music, I plugged my headphones in, and played Do I wanna know?, I turned it up and got into my mode. But like always, my red light went off Which meant someones at my door.

I ripped my gloves off and walked inside, I grabbed a near by shirt and slipped it on.

*DING DONG*

"I'M COMING!" I shouted and swung the door open.

"Hey Carter," My cousin Ty said and pulled me into a hug.

"What are you doing here?" I exclaimed and pulled him inside. "Easter isn't for another week,"

"I came to spend time with my oldest cousin who's around my age,"

"Don't you have school?"

"Nah, I didn't go to college, you're thinking of Tim," He said and threw his bags on the couch.

"Now I do. Well, I was training so make yourself at home," I said and skipped outside.

"How about a little one on one?"

"Winner gets?" I pulled my gloves on and turned down the music.

"The car till Easter." He said and I threw him wrap and gloves.

"Deal," I answered and walked out into the yard where I had a mat setup. He followed and we put on mouth guards and helmets.

"Don't punch hard, first one down wins," I said and put a timer down for 5 minutes.

"Put that too a minute," He muttered and got on the mat.

"Okay, take your shoes off," I set the timer to one and got ready.

He just doesn't know I'm not the only one with a car, my old one is in the garage. Its a 2001 Camry. I also been taking boxing for 6 years, plus about 4 fights in parties and malls. Sucks for him.

"On three," He said.

"The timer knows when to start, just be quite and wait to get your ass kicked." I said, and saw the timer went off, and Ty immediately tackled for me, but I stepped to the side, and he fell right into the ground.

"First rule, you wait for the opposite to attack you, and watch their moves. My dad even taught you some things," I muttered and he got back up.

"Do it again," He snapped. I walked to the timer and reset it. I got back on the mat, and waited for it to start. He did it again, but stopped him self, and got me in a choke hold, which wasn't that hard, and I easily flipped him over, on his back.

"Rule eight, make sure to get a firm grip on your opponent," I said again. "Oh and I won, you fell to the ground twice," I walked away and towards my punching bag, and was tackled to the ground.

"TY! THIS IS BOXING NOT FOOTBALL! WHAT THE HELL!" I shouted and wiggled under him.

"I'm getting that damn car!!" He snapped, and jumped off me and towards the house. I stood up and ran after him.

"YOU WONT FIND THE KEYS MORON!" I shouted.

"ITS IN YOUR ROOM, IDIOT!" He shouted back.

I reached my door, and he was standing there, "I need my privacy sir." I said, and waited for him to get out my way.

"How you going to get in?"

"I have my own key you wont find," He grabbed my foot, and reached in my sock, where my key is.

"Ty, there's another car in the garage," I said, and watched him walk in my room. I followed while he looked for where my car key could be.

"For a girl, you have a messy room," He said, and grabbed my bag off my floor.

"For a guy, you suck at wrestling, since you did lose to your cousin, that's a girl."

"Whatever, I just need to pick a friend up," He continued to ruffle through the bag.

"Then Ill take you," I said, and reached into my dresser and grabbed my keys. I ran upstairs,Ty following.

"No, shes my friend." He said, and grabbed the keys.

"Its my car," I grabbed them back.

"Carterrrrr," He whined.

"NO! ITS MY CAR!" I started shouting. His eyes widened and he tossed the keys to me. "Thanks Ty," I said sweetly.

"Your so impossible for a 18 year old," He muttered.

"Wait, I gotta turn everything off," I yelled out, as he walked to the car.

Derrick Jones

I waited in my car, till I saw the door open. A boy in his early twenties walked out and waited on the car.

I got out and walked towards him.

"Waiting for something?" I asked, and put my hands in my pockets.

"Carter, is there a problem?"

"There is, shes taken. And I don't like how you walked in and then came out like if you just finished something," I snapped.

"You need to chill out, we're-"

"I don't need to chill out, shes mine so back off."

"I'm not nobody's Derrick, hes my cousin, and you can leave." Me and the boy turned to Carter, who looked rather pissed off.

"Whose this Carter?"

"A douche who goes to my school. Lets just go," She answered and got in the car, followed by her cousin. So, now I'm the douche?

"Come on Carter, I'm sorry," I said before her cousin closed the door and they left.

She hates me that much?
