Peter pov
I walked in after Wanda and Pietro left to go find the woman. I say hi to the lady in the front desk and go to the elevator. I push for floor three and wait.
I get off the elevator and walk to the door. I knock on it three times and wait. A man opens the door.
He looks oddly familiar to me.
"Hi. I am Peter Parker. I am looking for Avery Johnson. We are doing a project together." I say.
The man looks at me for a second and then yells, "Avery! A friend is here to see you about a project!"
He lets me in and walks into the kitchen. But I am sure I caught a glance of metal. Avery comes into the room and smiles when she sees me.
"Hey Pete!" She says.
"Avery who is he?" I ask.
"Oh James? He is just my brother who is living with me right now to make sure I am okay." Avery says.
She leads me to a couch and we both sit down. Her face then turns serious. "What are you doing here Peter? The project can't even be started until tomorrow. The Avengers after me? You do live with them. Don't you? Spider Man?" She asks.
"H-how did you know?" I ask stuttering a bit.
"I am not stupid. You live with Pietro and Wanda. You are also smart so you figured out that I was with Hydra. And the Spider Man thing? Oh, that was just reasonable guessing." Avery says looking at me.
"We just want to talk..." I say.
"And I am willing too, but..." She is cut off when the smoke detectors go off. She coughs when smoke comes in the room. "He went and burnt the food." She runs over to one of the window's and opens it.
Then she goes to the other one. She moves the curtain and then gasps. She runs into her room pulling three bags from it. She then runs to me pulling me into the kitchen. Her 'brother' is standing at the sink cleaning up.
"Bucky you don't have time for that. We have to get out of here. There is a bomb in the right window." Avery says.
Bucky? Bomb?
He nods and we go to the fire escape. He has just enough time to pull us and himself out before the apartment explodes.
We are pushed backwards out of the fire escape and are heading strait for the concrete below it.
