Chapter 13

Ellie pov
Three days later

"So Ellie, how long have you been at SHIELD?" Peter asks.

Two days ago I had been called by Nick Fury actually to talk about one Peter Parker. It was then that they learned I am a SHIELD agent.

"Six years. I got caught doing something I shouldn't have been doing by a SHIELD agent. The agent looked up my record. Then gave me two choices: Join SHIELD or Go to jail for twenty years. And of course we all know what I chose." I say thinking back.

"You must have been doing something really bad then." Peter says.

"Not really. It was more of the shear number of times I had done it." I say shrugging. "Anyway, Peter you should be able to go home tomorrow." 

"Really! That's awesome!" Peter says practically bouncing off the walls.

"But the Avengers are on mission. Avery, Bucky, and I will be keeping you company." I say.

"I'm fine with that. As long as I don't get a knife thrown at me again." Peter says.

"That was one time!" Avery says. "And that was only because you were standing in front of my target!"

Peter opens his mouth but I cut him off. "That was in the past. Now both of you get to bed. I don't want to deal with you anymore."

The two of them huff and walk off to the rooms I let them borrow.

"You know everything would be easier if they knew everything right?" Bucky asks.

"I know. But Nick doesn't tell the Avengers everything eather. Do you think they would of gone on that mission if they found out that that not many or even any could come out of that mission alive?" I ask.

"I still can't believe Fury sent them into that death trap." Bucky says.

"I know. The Avengers shouldn't be going in there. They are here to protect the earth not be Nick's lap dogs. After they get back I am having a talk with Nick." I say walking to my room.

I hope that they are okay.

If one of them comes back with anything close to a fatal wound I will make sure that Nick doesn't send them on anything like that again.

Or else...
