Summary:
Katherine Nelson is a huge Marvel fan so, when Marvel approaches her about taking on the role of a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and continuing that role in the film franchise, she takes it without hesitation.
It's a huge career opportunity and a nice distraction, a way to get her mind off her broken heart.
Sebastian Stan already has his place in the Marvel family, his role as Bucky Barnes cementing his place. He loves the role, the character, the story...all of it.
It's also a good excuse as to why he hasn't dated in a while. He can simply say that it's because he's too busy with work to find time for that quite yet, which is half true. The other half of the truth is that love scares him, seems like it'd be painful.
Of course, his attempts to avoid love are proved useless when Katherine comes in. The two are fast friends and, eventually, the man who's afraid of love falls for the girl with the broken heart.

↪ Slow burn please. He doesn't want love, she just had her heart broken. Neither of them are looking for love.
↪ Sebastian would probably fall for Katherine first, considering he's not the one recovering from heart break but it's up to you if you want it that way or not.
↪ Can be a mix of social media/real life fic if you want. I know those are popular so if you want to try to make this into one of those it'd be interesting. Whether or not you do that is completely up to you!

↪ I can see Katherine and Chris Evans being really good friends but just friends. I think Chris would probably try to help Katherine feel better and try to help her have fun during their time off.
