Judas Kiss

Chapter 6

She wakes up around 6 am and started preparing to go to the market to get fresh vegetables and meats.

She is very energetic. She is singing while preparing.

She will not be riding to the market. She will walk to get exercise and breathe fresh air.

When she comes back, she happily prepared the food she thinks Anna will like.

Before lunch, she was finished and packed everything. She then took a shower and prepared to go to Anna's apartment.

It didn't take her much time to find the apartment. She asked around and people on the street pointed to the exact house.

She rang the doorbell of the gate and noticed that there are a table and chairs in the garage. She then saw Jeremy, Anna's close friend, coming out of the front door. He then noticed her with a surprised face.

"Hey, Sam! What brought you here? Did you know that it's my birthday today? We are preparing some food." Jeremy said while he opens the gate for Sam.

"Ah, actually I am here for Anna. They said that Anna lives here. By the way, happy birthday!" Sam was blushing since she forgot his birthday. She handed him one of the packed food. "Here take this. Have a blast!"

Jeremy excitedly opened the container and it was buttered shrimp. He then hugged Sam and kissed her cheeks. "Geez, thanks! Wait I will call Anna." Jeremy rushed inside the house and called out Anna.

Sam was waiting outside and helped out in preparing the table. Jeremy and she are also close friends though they don't have much time spent together since Jeremy is working outside the country before.

Sam was busy with the table when Anna appeared. "Sam, what a surprise!" She heard Anna's voice. She was startled but kept her composure.

"Hi, Anna. I dropped by to give those to you and maybe we can have lunch together." Sam smiled at Anna.

"Oh, okay. Let's go to my room then." Anna extends her arms to offer support for Sam and she gladly accepts.

They went upstairs. She noticed that Anna is just renting a room and it was a bit small.

When Anna opened the room, she immediately saw the bed and a little space for a little living room. There was no bathroom and no space for a dining area. It was really small, she thought. Good thing there is a window and a small coffee table. She thought.

Anna pointed to the small coffee table to Sam to put down the food.

Sam prepared the food and Anna gets some plates and utensils downstairs.

"I hope you will like the food I cooked, Anna. It's not much but I guess they are still your favorite." Sam said when Anna returned.

"Of course. I am so happy that you come over and prepared some food. I have been wanting to eat delicious food nowadays." Anna said sitting in front of the table.

They were sharing the food happily and chatting about things.

"You like them?" Sam asked Anna!

"Yes, they are yummy and very tasty. You are still good at cooking. I missed this." Anna said smiling and eating at the same time.

"Glad you like them!" Sam is very happy. "When was the last time that we ate together?" she thought.

Anna fixed the table when they're done. They transferred to the bed and sat down.

Sam was looking around and asked Anna how she was.

"I am doing great. Maybe I just need more rest. I get tired easily nowadays." Anna said.

"I can still cook for you tomorrow if you want." Sam offered.

"Can you stay here with me tonight?" Anna said hoping that Sam would say yes.

"Ahmm... How about your girlfriend? I mean, will she not go here tonight?" Sam was hesitating but a little excited.

"She won't be here until Wednesday. Her offs are Wed-Thurs. So I will be alone till that day. " Anna's voice is sad.

"I guess, I can stay if you want me to and if it's okay with your girlfriend."

"She won't know. And I guess she doesn't need to know."

"I'll get some things I need for the sleepover. I will come back." Sam said.

"You forgot that we are the same size. You can borrow some of my clothes. It might be a little noisy because they will have a karaoke later. You know, it's Jeremy's birthday." Anna said smiling at Sam.

"I guess it's fine. So what do you want to do? Movie?" Sam asked.

Anna nodded. She lies down on her bed on one side while Sam prepared the movie they will be watching. It was a romantic movie.

Sam sat down on one side of the bed. She wants to lie down however she is reluctant about what Anna will feel if she does. 

Anna reached Sam's back and lightly touched it. "Sam, you can lay down. I know you are tired of cooking and preparing."

Sam did not think twice. She lies down next to Anna. There was a little space between them which was occupied by a pillow. 

Sam can't concentrate on the movie. She is getting tensed. She doesn't know why.

"Sam, can you pass the water, please. I need to drink my medicine." Sam stands up and got the bottled water and hand it to Anna. 

She helped Anna with her medicines. It was four different medicines. "I hope you will feel better sooner. I know how much you hate medicines." 

"Yeah, but for now I have no choice. Well, it's nice that you still remember things." Anna said.

" Of course... I do still remember everything." Sam looked at Anna and waiting for her reaction.

Anna stared at Sam. Closely she lifts her hands to Sam's face and touches it. 

Sam closes her eyes. She was longing for her touch. She missed this. 

Sam can feel Anna's breathing becomes heavier, hers too. Her heart was pounding very fast. She felt Anna's lips touch hers. What are they doing? She can't think straight now. Whatever happens, I will deal with it after. Sam thought.
