JUNE 30, 1958 CAMP CRYSTAL LAKE….
Frank; We have to find those campers. This is really beyond ridiculous. Their chaperone’s said they were there one minute, then next gone! Now how can that be?? He exclaimed.
Bill: I wish I knew! The police have looked everywhere and have found nothing!
Frank: I know and their parents are coming up. I am going to lose this camp if we don’t get to the bottom of this. First it’s the lake then the hiking trail. What’s next? Straight out of the cabins??
Bill; Don’t say that!! Please!! Don’t jinx it!
Frank: I think I already am jinxed. Last year there were two strange occurances where someone had raided to cafeteria and the medical supply cabin. This year it’s been almost non stop strange occurances. The campfire ghost stories are becoming a reality and frankly. I’m at my ropes end here what to do to stop it. Shaking his head in frustration.
Police Sargent Smith; Mr. Sneddon. You are going to have to send all your campers home immediately. We found the mutilated body of little Christy Pierce and the remains of another we think it’s Daniel Roberts but, we have to wait for dental records and the coronor’s report to be sure.
Frank; breaking down in tears, Oh God!! Bill I told you. Get on the phone call every parent now!! Get Tom Adams to help you. I’ll go with the sargeant here and see if I can help with the investigation where the bodies were found.
Bill: Right away Frank!! Running toward the directors cabin.
Tom: What’s the matter?
Bill; Come on with me!! We have phone calls to parents to make. Now!! The two men race to the directors cabin.
Frank: Sargeant do you think it was an animal? A human couldn’t have torn the body up like this right? I mean look at it?!! Disgusted he looks away.
Sargeant Smith; Normally I’d say no, but if he or she is a psychotic then all bets are off.
Frank; OMG!! Looking down. What do I tell their parents? This will ruin the camp for all the children.
Bill: Now folks I know you are all concerned and worried about your children. It’s just a precaution. We are sending the children home a week early on recommendation from Crystal Lake Sheriffs Department until they catch the animal that has come into the area.
Parent One; How do you know it’s an animal? It could be some crazy psycho killer!!
The crowd roars their agreement. Everyone is very upset about having to take their children back early and are worried about those missing and strange occurrences. Some voiced their unhappiness about their money and deposits. The counselors tried to keep some semplance of calm but the parents where really adamant about it all.
Frank; Please give me 10 days to get the rest of your money back to you and next summer you all have a free week for your children to return to Camp Crystal Lake. He said reassuringly.
SUMMER 1959. ….
Bill; I’’m sorry the camp isn’t as full this summer as it was last summer. I really wish people would understand it was a one time tragic occurrence. It will not happen again.
Frank; I know. But I understand too, these are their children and they fear for their safety. I fully support that. Maybe after this summer when parents hear all is well, we will be okay again. Shrugging and looking down.
Bill: Sure, sure, You know it’ll pick up!!
TWO WEEKS LATER…
Sam; Are you ready guys?
The three campers are ready and excited about their hike up the mountains hiking trail. They follow Sam who is their counselor up the trail. Their goal is to arrive at the peak by noon, eat a sack lunch then return to the camp.
Sam’ Here we are! Turning happily to get the campers settled for their lunch.
Sam looks behind him and the campers are gone. No sounds or sights of them at all. From this angle he can see all the way down the trail almost to the very bottom near camp.
Sam; Stanley!! Carey!! Phillip!! Come on guys!! Not funny!! It’s time to eat lets go!!
Sam waited 5 min and called them again. When no reply the second time he got worried and heading back down the trail to see if he can find their trail. Looking at their footprints. He see’s 4 sets, his and the three campers but the campers just disappear. No carry off mark. No being drug off, nothing. Sam calls them once more and listens carefully for any noises, cries or screams or laughter. Nothing only birds churping in the distance. Sam is really worried about the campers. He rushes back to the camp to inform Frank Sneddon about the campers disappearing on him during the hike.
Frank; WHAT??!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY WERE JUST GONE!!?? Bill, call Sgt Smith. I don’t want a repeat of last summer. Shaking his head and rubbing his temples.
Sam; I’ll quietly let the others know to keep their campers close and within the main camp area. No more swimming today or anything and get a couple of counselors to help me search.
Frank: Good idea Sam thank you! Looking tense and worried. Can you show me the general area they vanished?
Sam; Sure. Come on. It isn’t far, maybe half way up the trail I guess.
The two men walk up the trail and Sam shows Frank the last place he saw them. Then he shows him the last place that their foot prints were seen. Frank started to walk a bit into the shrubs and heavy bushes. First he goes off to the left of the tracks. Finds nothing no sign not even drag marks or torn clothing, Nothing. Then Frank went to the right of the trail and checked for the same things.
Frank OH GOD!!! OH GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Sam; WHAT IS IT??!!! He starts to come forward.
Frank; NO!! STAY BACK!! GO GET SGT SMITH UP HERE NOW AND TELL HIM BRING THE DOGS AND CORONOR!!!
Sam: Right away Frank!! He races down the hill and finds Sgt Smith is just arriving. Racing to him Sgt Smith come quick!! He’s winded.
The men race up the hill to the area that Frank was. They got there and found Frank sitting on the trail crying his eyes out over what he’d seen. Frank was shaking his head and saying something over and over but he couldn’t make them understand out of context
Sgt Smith: What is wrong? All he had to do was look on the otherside of the bush and he saw it. The blood and body were torn to pieces. No way to identify what body with what body or what. The heads had been severed and body parts missing but the blood. The blood is what really made him sick. So much of it. Whatever it was looked as if he or it tried to bleed them dry.
Frank; Today is the last day for Camp Crystal lake. I can’t risk any more children dying and disappearing. So August 29, 1959 We are no more. He says sadly and tells all his staff he loves and will miss each and every one of them. God Bless. Turning he heads inside the directors cabin and closed the door. They could hear his sobs from outside the cabin.
