NATALIE MADDEN
Nat was frustrated to say the least. It seemed like everything was being forced to happen over a short period of time, not giving her any time for herself.
At this rate, by next month, her face would probably be filled with pimples from lack of beauty sleep which, in her business, that was a big no.
She was expected to attend the wedding ceremony of her cousin, Camilla Sheridan, which was to take place in 3 weeks time. That was something she was excited for and really looking forward to. After all, her cousin was excited and happy, and Natalie loved her cousin. Which is why she was making an extra effort to free up her schedule to be able to attend the full wedding ceremony which would be taking place in Dubai for a week.
Her cousin was one lucky bitch, Nat thought, smiling to herself. She had met her husband-to-be once, a while ago.
Hot damn.
That man could make a straight guy turn gay and nuns beg to be fucked. He was that sexy. And all Camilla's.
Lucky indeed.
Natalie wanted to get as much free time as possible so she could spend time with her cousin and family. Hence, leading up to the moment when she realized she had been thinking for a minute too long. At this rate, no time can be wasted to think if it wasn't about her business.
She had just added a new clothing line to her already well sort after collection which was unsurprisingly receiving a lot of positive reactions and attention from both critics and the general public.
This made her schedule constantly packed as she had meetings and reviews all in need of her utmost attention. This made it necessary for her work extra hard if she wanted to attend the full wedding ceremony.
But before that, she would also have to survive a dinner with her family tomorrow which was being hosted by her parents to celebrate Camilla's upcoming wedding.
Any excuse to throw a party, Nat thought to herself. She was sure that it is going to be more of a party than a 'simple dinner' as her mother had so easily described it would be over the phone to Nat. She had scoffed at the idea of that being so.
Knowing her family, they wouldn't make it any less extravagant than any other ceremony even if it certainly wasn't a ceremony per se. At least not yet.
And it'll be even more ostentatious since Camilla's fiance would be there. Her parents would want to impress him. It's not everyday you host a dinner with a Prince in attendance.
She was hoping she'd have a good time but she knew that with her earlier lie about having a boyfriend hovering in her mind and over her head, it was just about ready to come bite her in the ass. Very painfully.
She had been so frustrated over the past few months from her parents constant questioning and nagging about her relationship status, her mother especially. And it had only gotten worse when her cousin, who is her age mate, announced her engagement to the family. Out of burning frustration and a need to get her parents and some family members off her back, Nat had one night, out of irritation, blurted out that she had a boyfriend to her mother.
Big mistake.
Looking back, she wished that she wasn't so hasty to speak that night. She should have kept quiet as she usually was when pressed about it. After all, it wasn't really her fault that relationships weren't convenient or top priority for her.
Now, she would have to come up with a solution to a problem she had created for herself and fast. Her family was expecting to meet the mystery guy at the dinner tomorrow night and she couldn't afford to appear empty handed.
Sighing, she turned back to the papers waiting for her on her desk. She'd have to come up with solution to that later.
