Chapter 10

Knocking on the door I wait in the rain as I am now in England and the weather is extremely rubbish.

I hear a click as the door opens as my mum appears in the doorway.

"What do you want?" She sneers as a scowl crosses her face.

"Your help." I reply and she looks at me sceptically before opening the door and letting me in.

1 hour later

"AND DON'T COME BACK HERE AGAIN, YOU'LL ONLY CAUSE TROUBLE FOR US!" Screeches my mother as I am almost shoved out the door.

"FUCK YOU TOO, YOU BITCH!" I reply before flipping her off, with a scowl she slams the door shut as I storm away and walk a few blocks away before going into an alley and slumping to floor as my angry tears fall down my face.

I hear a growl and look up to see Wraith's glowing green eyes in the darkness as he slinks over to me and curls up next to me before laying his head on my lap.

"Hey there bud, how're you doing?" I say to him before running my hand through his soaking, black coat.

He purrs in response and I smile.

Rae, where are you? I need your help

I'm in an alleyway in England, what's wrong

I get up and Wraith follows suit as we leave the alleyway and I wearily traipse to The Shadow Hound. The pub is open and it looks busy but then I realise that the people there are part of the pack; I hear a few growls as I walk by the booths and I put my hand on Wraith's neck for security as I approach the bar.

Coughing slightly to get the bartenders attention I say "I need to speak to the manager."

He looks at me curiously before saying "he's not here at the moment but you're welcome to stay if you are willing to wait for him to come back."
