Chapter 26

Rae's POV

I zip to Tommy as soon as he's pulled in the room as I hiss venomously as I'm caught by Bane.

"Let go of my kid you son of a bitch!" I snarl as I thrash in Bane's grip as Tommy tries to pull away from the guy holding him.

"Now, now Rae, I think we can all see that Tommy is here due to your selfishness." He says and I growl at him.

He then turns to Tommy, pulling me with him.

"Tell me child, does she scare you now that she's got fangs and creepy eyes?" He asks and I try to turn my face from Tommy as tears fill my eyes but Bane grabs my chin and forces me to look into Tommy's blue eyes.

"No, she's not scary at all." He replies as he glares at Bane before smiling "I think her eyes are pretty."

"She will be when she smells your blood." He says and my eyes widen as I shake my head at Bane.

"No, don't you do that!" I say as I struggle to get out of his grip "He's just a child!"

"Precisely." Bane comments before motioning to the dude holding Tommy.

The man pulls out a small blade and slices Tommy's wrist, the smell of his blood fills the room and I'm instantly drawn to it as Bane lets me go but I fight it as I take a step back.

"Go on Rae, you know you want to." Bane taunts and my eyes flicker from Bane to Tommy as my fangs slip out of my gums and then back in again, this happens multiple times before they settle on staying out as I stare at Tommy's wrist, fighting the urge to go to him and drink his blood.

Bane's words suddenly shock me into moving closer to Tommy protectively.

"If you don't then I will."

"I'd rip your fangs out before you even got close." I hiss and Bane smirks.

"Fine then, drink from him, or I'll have him killed." Bane calmly states as the man raises a blade to Tommy's throat.

Bane releases me and I whip away from him and towards Tommy, he squeals as I rip the blade from the man and simultaneously push Tommy behind me whilst kicking the guy across the room and into the wall.

I spin to Bane, keeping Tommy behind me.

"I told you not to touch my son." I hiss, any semblance of control vanishing as I lunge at him, I get one punch to his face before he grips my hair and sinks his fangs into my neck and I let out a scream at the pain that erupts before I sink my talons into his shoulder causing him to pull back with a hiss before he whips toward Tommy faster than I can go and grabs him.

"I will kill this boy now if you do not drink from him." He snarls as his talons set on Tommy's throat.

"Go on mummy." Tommy says as he holds out his wrist as Bane slices a new cut into it.

I war with rationality as my eyes stay pinned to Tommy's wrist.

It's okay mummy, I'll help you

I flick my gaze up and my eyes widen as a small smile appears on Tommy's face.

"I have a plaster."

This causes a smile to break out onto my face as I walk over to him, I crouch down and look into his beautiful blue eyes.

"This might hurt." I warn and he shakes his head.

"It won't unless you want it to." He replies and moves his wrist closer to me.

I glance down.

I then sink my fangs into his wrist and hear Bane chuckle as I pull his wrist closer to my mouth as I drink his blood, with a huge amount of effort I pull away from Tommy's wrist and grab his shoulders as I pull him away from Bane as power zings through my body.

"Don't touch my son again or I'll kill you!" I hiss and Bane chuckles.

"My dear, your son is of little meaning to me, you can keep him safe as long as you marry me."

I glare at him.

"Not happening."

Mac, grab Tommy and brace yourself

I brace myself for the punch that comes flying at my face and barely grunt as it slams into my jaw, I wobble slightly before he aims a punch at my stomach. I'm suddenly pushed out of the way as Mac receives the punch and I give her a shocked look as she fronts Bane.

"You need to stop hitting her."

"And why would I do that?" He sneers.

"Because she will kill you, haven't you noticed she's so much stronger than you?" She replies.

"Her?" He asks incredulously "I'm years older than her, she is not stronger than me."

"She is, her scent, her strength and her will are so much stronger than yours." She states and I watch as realisation crosses his face before it's masked with anger.

"She isn't, she's nothing but a weak whore." He spits and my anger flares up.

"Weak?" I snarl as I walk towards Mac and slowly push her out of Bane's reach. "I am far from it and Mac is correct, I am far more stronger than you and you know it, you need me."

He smiles "Perhaps you're right, but there are many ways to break you, number one is marrying you, number two is making you carry my child."

"The marriage yes but only to protect what I care about but the children thing is a definite no, no buddy." I reply as I give him a look.

I'm taken aback as three men walk in.

"Guards, take Mac to her cell and one of you take Tommy to his own cell." He demands but I swiftly move in front of Tommy as I growl at the approaching dude.

"I'd like to see you try and touch him." I snap and the guy hesitates.

"My dear, come here before I bruise your pretty little face more." Bane says as he slips on a knuckle duster.

Rae, I'm going to take your son to a cell but I will not hurt him, I am part witch and know that you are our queen, I vow to serve you.

How can I know you're a witch?

I look past Bane and the guys eyes shine white before simmering back down to their natural grey and I shoot him a miniature head nod so he knows.
